Photowalking Trip

Last Saturday was my first time going photowalking to both Disneyland and California Adventure with both my mom and a family friend. I wasted two battery packs of my mother's digital camera and managed to get almost two hundred pictures. Unfortunately, since I'm poor and can't upgrade my Flickr, I've only settled on uploading 45 pictures so far. One of these days I will upgrade so I can have more but for now, I'm happy with what I have!

I started my trip in California Adventure and believe me, it's so weird seeing the Paradise Pier bay all drained and looking like a skate park. The scaffolding of the Sun Wheel makes me sad too because I love that ride but I'm looking forward to seeing the Sun Wheel. The park looked absolutely amazing all decorated for the holidays, especially the Golden Gate Bridge. I stayed there up until the sun went down before we made our transition to Disneyland.

Once we were in Disneyland, everything was lit up and it was great seeing the Christmas tree and the lights down Main Street. The one particular part I didn't want to leave was New Orleans Square because everything was so beautiful lit up. We had fun going through Fantasyland and getting a glimpse of the castle with the lights on. Also, we were right behind Dumbo when the fireworks went on, getting the most perfect view ever even if we had to go from left to right with fireworks going on both sides. I did get caught in the "snow" by the It's A Small World area and I only got one picture of the ride lit up since there was a huge crowd. After that, I had very little battery juice so I got a few pictures of Main Street, only uploading one into my Flickr for the time being.

I will be going again this Saturday while we go renew our AP so I'm looking forward to adding more pictures even if I have to wait for the first of next month to upload again. :P

instead of upgrading, why don't you just switch to a photobucket account? or something similar (webshots, imageshack, etc)? it'd save you some money and allow you to post as many pictures as you want in a single album...

We were in this spot the very first time we saw the fireworks. We had no clue that we should be in the hub. Anyway it was really a neat location with the fireworks going off in front of us then having to turn for them to go off behind. It made you feel surrounded by the show. My son really got excited during this. It made for a memory that I'll never forget.

Thanks for sharing your photo tour.

I used my mom's camera which was a Canon Powershot SD750. It's a very nice camera even if we fiddled with it towards the night to get the night shots.

I should, but I'm not too big of a fan of photobucket. I have one for collecting various pictures online. I'll think about it but I've grown too attached to Flickr.

No problem, I just wanted to help. Keep up the Photography. And I hope you can post more pictures now, and get to enjoy all the new features you get to use.

Now that I'm in a photography class this semester at my community college, I will be learning how to use and understand a 33mm camera. I'm excited to do it so the next time I go to Disneyland, I may use the 33mm for practice.
