Question for those who have stayed at all three All Stars.

We've stayed at the All Star Sports twice (liked it). We have stayed at the All Star Movies once (LOVED it). We've also stayed at Pop Century, but didn't like it as much as the All Stars (but that's another issue).
So this time we're staying at the All Star Music hotel in April.
For those of you who have stayed at all three, tell me why we will either like Music more, or tell us what we will like less about Music than the other two.

As a musician, I must say that I'm a little partial to the All Star Music resort

. But other than that, I really like how it's in the middle, so the bus picks you up and drops you off in the middle of their cycle. I remember some of the food court choices because that was the last All Star I stayed in (I don't really remember the food choices at the others), but they have pretty standard stuff: Italian, Burgers, Chicken Fingers, etc. The theming is obviously Music (Jazz, Calypso, Country, Rock and Roll buildings, and I may be forgetting one). The layout is the same as the other resorts and they pretty much all have the same entertainment. Hope this helps!

You'll like Music because of the money you'll save and the big grand piano shaped pool they have there. Nice and BIG!!!
I liked sports better but I would stay at Music again for sure.

ive only stayed at sports and movies, but movies is the newest, music offer suites, but it surprises me about pop it our favorite value, with that being said on our trip last month we stayed at port orleans riverside for the first time at a mod and i think its worth the extra $ if you can fit it

I've only stayed at Music but I explored the other two during my last visit. Layout-wise, Music is my fav. It feels smaller than the others and I LOVE the landscaping. It makes it feel really calm. The food court is only ok, but it seemed pretty similar to the other food courts. It had the best gift shop, in my opinion. I love Music because it seems the least chaotic to me. This post is making me miss those June nights in Music!

Hello!
There is very little difference between Sports and Music. They were both built before Movies and have the same basic layouts with different giant icons. If you liked Sports, you should enjoy Music. Music is the resort that has the family suites. They combinded two rooms to make a seperate bedroom for the adults and the second room for the kids. Two bathrooms of course. Nice deal if you have a bigger group and can't afford one of Disney's more expensive suites. Haven't tried one yet but want to.
I like Movies better because the food court is larger and much more attractive. The store is bigger and so is the lobby. Hope this info helps.
Regards,
Delray

When I stayed at Music we didn't realize that the bus leaves directly from Sports if it fills up first until halfway through the week...after waiting many long tens of minutes for buses that never came.

I haven't stayed at sports as yet, however I have stayed at movies quite a bit and moved over to music last year. It was close on $300 cheaper for the same room and I have to say I think I prefer Music. I stayed in Broadway last year and I really hope that is where I will be this year again. It is down the bottom of the site nice and quiet but not miles from the food court and there is a laundry and pool just at the end of the street.
I have to say the difference in price may be something to do with the package from the UK.

We have stayed in different rooms at the All Star resorts. The last time (July 2008), we stayed at All Star Music in a Family Suite. It's more than just two adjoining rooms.
We were on the ground level. The main room entrance was in the family room area. It had a sleeper sofa, a chair that unfolds into a bed, two full bathrooms with a sink area between the two, a small kitchen and I do mean small. It has some decent counter space, storage for dry goods, a small refrigerator and a microwave oven. It has a sink for doing dishes. Disney provided some utensils, bowls, cups, etc. We brought our own not knowing what was going to be provided. The outer room aslo had a small round table with two or three chairs for in-room dining. There is a TV in an armoire and a DVD player.
There is also a seperate bedroom with a queen size bed, chair, TV, drawers for storage.
There are two heating/cooling units I believe controlled individually. This worked well for us. We put our kids in the outer room and we could retire to the bedroom and talk, plan, watch TV or crash as well.
At Pop Century, we got the room for the beds. It was just like your standard Motel 6 as far as amenities were concerned. Two beds, 1 TV, table and chairs, bathroom, towels, etc. Same for All Star Sports and Movies.
Plenty of room in the Family Suite. If you are going for an extended stay (more than 2 or 3 days) it is worth the extra cost for the space. Also, transportation delays seemed to apply more at Music than the others. Then again, I might have been extra tired.
I realize your original post was talking about going this April. Give us an update when you return. I'll be there for a day on 4/10. What are your travel dates?
