WDW Circle of Life 5k

Post by mickster68 » Aug Sun 17, 2008 3:39 pm

Hello! I was wondering if anyone is planning to take part in the Circle of Life 5k, during marathon weekend at WDW? I did it back in 2003, when the run went through Epcot. It was great fun! I just realized that it will be going on while we're there, and thought it would be great motivation to get my butt in shape!! This year it's at Animal Kingdom. It's the morning of Sat. January 9th. Registration is $40--a little pricey, but you get all sort of goodies, including a cool t-shirt, Disney 'bib', and medal for finishing :)

I'll check into it. From what I understand, it remains open until it reaches capacity--not sure how many people they allow to do it. According to the website, the half marathon is already full, and the full marathon @ 85%.
:figment:

Here is the link for info...

It says 80% full at this point. I guess I better make up my mind!

Wising we were going to be there for the Marathon Weekend next year, just can't afford it. We did the 1/2 in 2005 and the 5K that year was the "Pirate and Princess" theme. Any race you do at Disney is worth while! They're so well done! If you go, ENJOY!!!! :D
