We have our trip to Disneyland all planned however we are going to have an extra day in the Anaheim/LA area. It is a Saturday and that is a block out day for our AP. Does anybody have any suggestions of what we could do with that day? We are driving so we will have our van.
Also is La Brea Tar Pits worth the drive?
Any help on this would be appreciated.
Extra day in Anaheim. What to do?

Thanks for your response and idea. We have done Knott's and Ripley's before. I am hoping to find something other than a theme park since we will be at DLR/CA for a week. (guess I should have mentioned that in the original postelizabethswann wrote:I would say go towards Buena Park to check out the Movieland Wax Museum, Ripley's Believe it or Not, Medieval Times or the Pirates Dinner show and Adventure or even go to Knott's if you have enough money leftover. Buena Park's close by Disneyland so it's not that far of a drive.

I'll have to look at the Dinner shows and see how spendy they are.
Thanks again for your response. You had great ideas.
Any more ideas from anyone would be greatly appreciated.

I went to the Griffith Observatory back in August of last year, that was fun. Lots of great pictures and OMG a Tesla Coil!!!!! You would have to go to the website to get reservations for the bus that takes you up there.

It will be interesting to see if they would like to do that or the La Brea Tar Pits .
I really appreciate the input on this. We usually just drive straight to Disneyland and have never ventured to go anywhere else in the area.
And hopefully the ideas given might be helpful to others as well.
