As promised, here is my trip report for my lunch at Club 33:

We finally got our reservation, and were able to have lunch at Club 33 on August 11, 2007. My wife, Erica, her sister Monica, Monica's husband Eugene, and I were treated to a very pleasant experience, not to mention a top notch meal.

To start, we were instructed to check in at Guest Relations outside of California Adventure. We were each given a complimentary 1 day park hopper, a map to the club, and some notes on the club. Of course, we already knew where it was, so we went straight over and rang the bell. A moment later, the door opened and the hostess let us in. She told us our table would be ready in just a moment. We waited as the group ahead of us rode the elevator up to the second floor. Then we were allowed the elevator ourselves. A little cramped for 4 people, but quite fun and exciting at the same time.

The elevator door was opened by a host who escorted us through the club to our table. We passed through a hallway and were lead through the bridge over New Orleans Square. We were lead passed the bar and the famous harpsichord. Our table was in the far corner next to a window. All of the windows have curtains, but peaking through we could see the entrance to Blue Bayou just below. The dining room was decorated with many framed art works of concept art for the Pirates of the Caribbean (the ride).

The service was great, the food was fantastic, and the bill was large. We were told that as guests (non-members) our meals would at least be the cost of a 1 day 1 park pass, which they were. So, about $65 per person.

The club felt very old. In fact, they are celebrating the 40th anniversary of the club this year.

The music they played was not the same music we have on this site. It was much more jazzy. I inquired about purchasing the music and was told it was not available for purchase. Hopefully some day we'll come across this version of the background music. Maybe it's just the lunch music?

Regardless, we were able to get some souvenirs: a polo shirt($65) and a tote bag ($20).

What kind of food did you have?

We had some salad and fruit as an appetizer.

For lunch most of us had the Prime London Sirloin. It was very good. It came with some fancy french fries that had a very good sauce on them, and some vegetables.

There was also a desert bar that we sampled liberally. Tarts, cakes, and other treats. Some chocolates were just too rich to eat. 8)

Wow. That's like the one thing in Disneyland I have yet to do, that I really need to do.

I always thought that it was a buffet, though. I'm still waiting for a friend whose boss knows a member to get us in, or something like that, lol.

Wow! What a fabulous time. Wish I could be cool enough to get in for lunch someday. Excellent pictures too!

Was the music Dave Brubeck by any chance? I think we have one of his tracks here, I'll try to go find it. I have his CD and it's jazzy Disney music.

Edit: I think I was thinking of the Disney Gallery version of Alice in Wonderland on this site, but the request list is super long and I won't be at the computer to hear now.

I have listened to the Disney Gallery music, and it's not the same as the music I heard in Club 33. It could be Dave Brubeck, I'll try to find his stuff.

WOW! How were you able to get guest reservations? Do you know a current member of the club, or is there a waiting list to visit as a guest?

A member of the club was going to take us there when we went to DL in 1997. However, he opted to take us to the Blue Bayou instead. It was nice too.

I have only been though the club, when I was a castmember, and they were giving new castmembers tours of the park. It sounds like it was a really nice experience. I would love to try and get in sometime for lunch, it would make a great anniversary meal for my husband & I.

Sounds great! I think I ordered a burger when I went my only time (I was 7 or 8 I think, and don't remember much of it.)

We won the reservation through a silent charity auction. Our winning bid was $375. Considering this would most likely be our only opportunity to go, we bid aggressively. It also included 2 additional 1 day park hoppers beyond the others we all received the day we went.

After having gone, I'd gladly spend it all again 8)

My girlfriend's family has friends that are/were members to club 33, She said it was really nice to go there for lunch. We were going to try and go there, but we ended up getting reservations to the Blue Bayou.
