Disneyland Trip Report July 8 - 14

Post by disneylandmom » Jul Mon 16, 2007 10:08 am

We just returned from disneyland and had a great time!

We arrived at noon on Sunday and decided to go into the park. We expected it to be extremely busy but were very surprised as it wasn't as bad as expected. By evening all of the rides even space mountain were about a 5 minute wait! They didn't even want our fastpass since it wasn't necessary. Weather was great not to hot.

Monday crowds were a little heavier and through the week got even worse. I would say the heaviest crowds were on Thursday and this was the hottest day as well.
It seemd like a lot of rides were down on Thursday but we didn't let it bother us. We were there for a week and just found other things to do around the park. My kids baked cookies at the Toll House booth. I would recommend that if you have kids as they have a good time and the parents get to sit and have a rest. Oh yes and they give you cookies when it is all done.

We did Finding Nemo on Wednesday but we didn't wait in the 2 hour line.
We got in line about 10 minutes before park closing and only had a 30 minute wait. I would highly recommend this as I do not think this ride is worth wasting two hours of your day waiting. As long as your in line before the park closes they will finish the line but I saw them turn away many people who tried to get in line after closing.

We have never gone in July because I was afraid of the crowds but it wasn't that bad, we got to do everything we had planned and had a wonderful time.

I can't remember how busy it was or not when we were out there in July 1996. That was too long ago, I guess!

I'm glad you had what sounds like a good time. What was your favorite attraction this trip? :mickey:

I love them all so picking a favorite is hard. I guess this trip Pirates because I finally convinced my daughter to go on it, and it is now her favorite. But I love Space Mountain and Splash Mountain. Oh and I tried California Screamin for the first time and have to say it was the biggest coaster I've been on and was quite a good ride.

California Screamin' looks pretty awesome. That park didn't exist the last time I was out there (in 1997) so I've only been able to see the stuff on TV about it.

Glad you had fun!

You got lucky, we were there (WDW) around the 4th of July and the crowds were horrid. It was like the crowds at Christmas. Glad to hear you had such a good time!!
