How far in advance can you make reservations?

Post by FlyingMouse » Jun Wed 13, 2007 3:06 pm

Anybody know a rough, or exact, number of days in advance that the Disney Website will allow you to make reservations for rooms and dining? The online drop-down boxes go through 2010 or 11, but when I select 2009, it gives me a date too far away message.

As another way to get the some of the same information, does anybody have a an idea of what kind of percentage increase in prices for rooms, tickets, and meals you can figure from year to year?

I have made reservations 10 months in advance. Call the Disney Travel Agent, they are very helpfull. They do not have an 800 number, but if your cell phone plan comes with long distance use that. I at times have been on the line half an hour to have something checked out. Have fun. :mickey:

2008 Room rates are coming out in the next couple of weeks. I would expect a lot more will be available once that announcement is made (they're changing how reservations work the system to make them).

Dining reservations can be done up to 180 days in advance. That's the furthest out you can do. As far as the reservations for the room... so long as they have the room rates released, you should be able to reserve it. when I called down previously, I was told that they release the new prices in mid-late October for the following year.

DTD restaurants can be as short as two-weeks on reservations. IE - House of Blues does their own reservations and only out two weeks. If its not a Disney restaurant, you may see some differences.

Right now you can make reservations all the way up until Dec of 2008 for packages and room only. ADR can be made 180 days in advance. If you would like you can call me. If you book through me, it does not cost you anymore than it would if you booked it all by yourself and I book all your ADR's for free and if a special comes out I will see that if you qualify for it you get it.

If you look at the Disney web site, it looks like you can make them years in advance.

I saw that. I asked a agent today when I called Disney and I was told that they have to wait for the reosrts to get their stuff into Disney. Paperwork and such before they can release the next year.

DVC members can make reservations 11 Months in advanced of check-out. And for the best rooms at the most popular time, you have to make your reservations 11 months in advanced. Then the next day you call and make a reservation for the next day, and link it back to the ones from yesterday.

As for cash reservations, most resorts don't take reservations more than 10 or 11 months in advanced.
