Which Caribbean Island?

Post by secondstar » May Thu 24, 2007 8:26 pm

Hey gang, I'll be heading back to WDW in October and we plan on staying at the Caribbean Resort this time. On the last stay there, we stayed in Martinique. We want to stay at a different island this time. Which Island is your favorite and why. Thanks.

Jamaica, mon'! For some reason, Jamaica residents were definitely the most fun folks to be around on the bus rides back (something giving an extra kick of energy at the end of a long day I guess!)

For us Jamaica was nice, a little more quiet since it wasn't so close to Old Port Royale. It all depends on what atmosphere you're looking for...

The one and only time we stayed at CBR we were in Trinidad South. Not sure there really seems to be that much difference to me, but our room did "look out" onto the quiet pool in that section which was nice.

I'd personally rather be closer to Old Port Royale.

Enjoy!

We just found out the AP discounts for our arrival date do not apply. Therefore, we'll be staying at the Port Orleans Riverside again. Thanks, anyway, for all the info!

Secondstar: I was originally going to stay at POR (which I love) but transferred to Caribbean Beach in order to take advantage of a discount. I saved $149.00 on the whole package! :D I was thinking of asking for Jamaica or Aruba. Any suggestions are welcome. I am a little concerned about this resort because I am traveling solo for Mousefeast. I just don't want to be in a room that is really far away and isolated!

Well, our favourite is Martinique 26 because it's really close to Old Port Royale and the bus stop (closer to OPR's bus stop than Martinique's). I've also heard good things about Jamaica; apparently, it's right over the bridge from OPR.
