Congrats, acp! Hopefully it won't be cold (but, hey, given where you're coming from, as long as there's no snow it's gotta be warmer!).

2 days and counting... I hoping there's no more southerly storms coming there way, although where we are from I'll defintely take anything over 60 degrees

just wondering if anyone has any packing ideas for 58-68 degree weather in DW. I haven't been down at this time of year since I was a kid and noww I am packing for my own family. I'd rather not pack the whole closet, but I can"t decide between shorts and jeans or t-shirts and sweatshirts. and help or ideas would be great, as the suitcases are getting very heavy as I second guess everything! :?

I always brought a few pairs of pants just in case its cool, enough shorts for every day, and a light jacket or sweater for cooler evenings. I made sure I always brought a change bag with me because usually I'd start in the AM with jeans and wind up with shorts. The last few times I brought a few pairs of those pants that the legs zip off to make shorts...saved some space in the luggage and worked out great.

37 Days 'til 1st Solo trip (sort of)

Post by Jsays1 » Feb Tue 16, 2010 10:21 am

My 2 sons will be on a HS Band trip, taking a 24+ hour bus ride each way, staying at AS Music, playing at Epcot! I couldn't pass up the opportunity to watch my favorite people play at my favorite place and they didn't want me to chaperone  , so I booked flights, 4 discounted nights at Port Orleans French Quarter and will be going solo! I'll be taking the Keys to the Kingdom Tour for the first time, moving at my own pace (usually up very early) and enjoying sights I don't generally see when racing around with the boys. The boys will be doing their own thing and so will I!
Can't wait. :D

1 month and 1 day to go!!! Gonna be a looooong 29 days til it gets here though....

On the 58-68 degree suggestions - when we go down for Thanksgiving and the weather is exactly the same I usually wear shorts and then put on nylon sweats/pants over them for the mornings then just shed them off a couple hours in. They are ultra light and roll up pretty small for crrying the rest of the day in a backpack or bag.

Well, in exactly two days from the time I'm writing this, I'll be halfway to WDW on a plane somewhere over the Atlantic :)
