Disney Trip Report 1/2-1/9

Post by packwingfn » Feb Thu 15, 2007 12:44 pm

I posted this on my livejournal so lemme explain who everyone is.
Marylou is my girlfriend, and I went on the trip with her family which included her sister, brother-in-law, nephew and her mother.

Tuesday January 2nd

We woke up around 330 and was all ready to go. It was very sad to leave Marylou's Dog max, he was all mopey for our absence. The plane flight there wasn't bad, it went pretty fast then we made our way to our hotel. We stayed at Pop Century and we had to wait forever for her mom and her sister to check into our hotel. We ended up getting a room on the third floor in the 90s section. At first I thought it would stink because the 90s mainly have a view of the parking lot but we got a good view of the computer pool so it wasnt too bad. We went to our rooms to get rid of our carry-ons. Our suitcases didn't arrive yet so then we went to the food court and got some food as we were all starving. After eating, Marylou and I decided to visit the Magic Kingdom as the rest of the group wanted a nap. When we arrived at the Magic Kingdom, it was VERY VERY busy. We went on the Swiss Family Treehouse at first since that was the first ride we passed by. Marylou had never been on it so it was cool for her to see it first.

Then we saw the Tiki Birds and the theater was absolutely full. Then we contined our way through the parks and every line was ridciously long so we gave up in Fantasyland and called her mom to tell them to not bother going to the Magic Kingdom. It was sad because I just wanted to stay in the parks but it was NOT worth it so we went back to the room. I barely remembered what happened in the hotel but an hour or so later, we made it to EPCOT and Noah really wanted to ride Spaceship Earth so we did that first, that was fine for me :) Then we did The Seas with Nemo and Friends since that had a short line. It was cute and I liked the change but I wouldnt wait 30+ minutes in line for me so it was nice to walk right on the line. Then we had no idea what to do next as all the other rides had super long lines so we hopped on the monorail and made our way back to the Magic Kingdom hoping the crowd would die down.

It defnitely wasn't as bad at night as we could actually wait in line for the rides. We rode Buzz Lightyear which I had the best score. We did Carousel Of Progress, TTA (which we saw Space Mountain with the lights on, it was broken) then me and Marylou seperated from the group, we watched Wishes from my favorite spot, right near Dumbo, she enjoyed that spot too :) then we went on Haunted Mansion, and Big Thunder before ending the night watching Spectromagic. I messed around with the Witches as I was booing them. The queen of hearts went right in my space and scared Marylou while the evil witch from snow white gave me an evil scare and turned around.

Wednesday January 3rd

The difference between this trip and any trip with my family. No alarm waking us up. We just woke up anytime we all woke up. So we made our way to MGM in the AM and figured to do AK at night because Wednesday was AK's Extra Magic Hours. We grabbed a fast pass for Tower Of Terror first then made our way to the Great Movie Ride then Star Tours. Both had decent lines but since we were all together, we had alot of people to interact with and enjoy each other's companies. Then we saw the Stunt Show, it was all their first time seeing, my second. I still loved it and so did everyone else, especially Noah and Nick. Then we went to Tower of Terror. Everyone was worried that Noah would be scared and he defnitely was freaked out and started crying afterwards. It was very sad :(. Everyone was getting tired so we headed back to the hotel for a nap, I lied down for a bit but mainly just sat there while everyone slept. Marylou didn't sleep that well too so we left earlier than everyone else BUT I forgot my ticket at the hotel while we were on the bus so we had to get off our bus as it wasn't going back to Pop Century. When we got back to the room, the others were just leaving the room as they saw me running. I went and grabbed my key and my poncho since it started to rain.

So we wasted an hour but at least we were with the family this time. We waited in the Standby line for Everest since it was already EMH for AK by the time we got there. It was cool to be at AK during the night time since I've never been there so late before. They all liked Everest again besides Noah as he got freaked out by the Yeti. He liked the rest of the ride besides the Yeti as he started to cry again so at that point, he didn't want to go on any of the rides, even Kali River Rapids (which he had been bugging us to go on earlier in the day). So Marylou's mom, Ellen, took Noah back while the 4 of us stuck around. We went on A Bug's Life which is just a fun fun ride to go on then we did Everest one more time, so this time Katie and Nick could enjoy without comforting Noah. Marylou and I got to ride in the front, I was so excited and ready for that :)

Thursday January 4th

Marylou and I slept in as everyone else got up at 8AM because after the whole fiasco with Noah going on Tower of Terror AND Everest on the same day, they realized that they needed to do things that Noah WANTED to do to calm him down and make him happy. Since Magic Kingdom has the early magic hours, they chose Magic Kingdom since it is also the best park for a kid. Despite them being kind of quiet, I could still hear them in the room next door especially Noah who really wanted to say Good Morning to us while we were trying to sleep. Once they left, we realized we couldn't sleep anymore but we still took it easy and watched TV while cuddling. Then we made our way to the park after some breakfast. I myself didn't eat breakfast the whole trip as my stomach is just not a breakfast eater especially on vacation being in a park all day long.

Today was our first alone day so we made our way to EPCOT so we could eat at Marylou's favorite country, Mexico and my first time eating there so we both chose that as one of the sit down restaurants that we both wanted to do. First thing we did was find me on the Leave A Legacy. It took a few minutes but there I was with my big head all alone on the wall that should be there for a long long time so it will be funny to see it 10 years from now when I'm 30. I still hated how EPCOT was still playing Christmas music, I love the Epcot Entrance Music and it really disappointed me to still be hearing "Jingle Bells" for the 100th time.

We made our way to Soarin since it was 11:00 and I'm sure half the fastpasses were already gone for that ride and I was right as the Fastpass return time wasn't until 2ish. Then I dragged Marylou on "Circle of Life", I only wanted her to see it because of the loud theater sound of the Lion King Music, not really the whole 'save the earth' aspect of the film. It's still a cute and sad film though. We skipped Living with the Land since the line seemed way too long for a ride of its stature. We heard later that Katie enjoyed the ride since the last time she was on it before and I remember how Nick asked why it was raining in the rainforest area lol.

We took a little break around the Imagination Area right near the sepertine fountains. We took a few pictures and talked for a bit then went on Imagination. God I love figment and I have to buy some kind of Figment merchandise every time I'm down there so I bought a figment bobble head and a Hidden Mickey book as Marylou and I were both discussing about it during the trip so why not have a little fun around the parks and try to find what is considered an "official" hidden mickey. After Imagination, we made our way to Mexico for Lunch and after exploring the shops, we walked right in the restaurant and we had a PERFECT water front view seat IF it wasn't for the huge wall blocking the ride construction that they will be working on until April. We both got Nachos de Pollo since that is what Marylou LOVES about the Mexico Pavillion so I tried it myself and enjoyed it and it didn't help that I couldn't recognize half of other foods on the menu. After Mexico, we explored the Norway and China shops and found Mulan on the way so we got a picture of the both of us with Mulan. Then it was time for us to ride Soarin'. That ride is just so peaceful and relaxful but Marylou didn't enjoy it as much as it made her feel a little sick so then we decided to head back to the hotel.

Marylou took a nap while I wasn't tired so I made my way around the hotel and I snapped a few pictures of the hotel then had a beer at the bar before I made my way back to the room. Everyone was back at the room by this point and they decided that tonight was going to be our Double Date night with Nick and Katie at Downtown Disney. We made our way to DTD and had no idea where we would be eating so we grabbed tickets to all of the restaurants that were in our price range (rainforest cafe, some italian resutant, wolfgang puck). I really was interested in Wolfgang since I've heard good things about it. Since Wolfgang was the closest to Disney Quest, we ended up waiting there. It was funny, Nick and I were looking at the wrong menu at first and saw $40.00, $50.00 entrees until Marylou pointed that we were looking at the reserved, special seating menu. While waiting to sit, Katie and I decided to look at the House of Blues store, some cool stuff but didn't buy anything.

Wolfgang Puck lived up its reputation as it had one of the best pizzas I've ever had and I even liked GOAT cheese. It was a good time at the restaurant as we had some fun conversations without having a kid around (no offense to noah). We did Disney Quest afterwards, did Pirates which was alot of fun because we were all in the heat of the moment, Nick drove the ship while Marylou, Katie and I shot the cannons. We had a group hug after because we did a pretty good job. Then we tried Jungle Cruise which wasn't as fun until Marylou and Katie freaked out at the same time over the Dinosaur coming out of nowhere. Then last we did the Buzz Lightyear Bumper Cars. I had a hard time driving the darn thing so we were spinning the whole time we were on the floor and I don't think we hit any cars because I had a hard time sucking up the balls. That's all we had time to play since we only had an hour left before closing. We made our way to Pleasure Island and visited the Rock and Roll Beach Club where there was some live rock band playing which I prefer then some DJ. They played a lot of old stuff which was good and I got my Beach Bucket drink again and shared some with Marylou.

We left the pavillion so we could make it inside for the 11:30 showing of the Comedy Warehouse. There was some good jokes but I didn't find it as funny as the last trip, mainly because the audience was weak.

OK THE BEST PART FOR LAST:
After the comedy club, we decide that it was time to go, so we're walking to the bus stop and we see a Pop Century bus in the distance so we're hoping that we can make it to the bus on time but he probably didn't see us so he left without us. Well when we got to the bus stop, some creepy fat lady was real p*** that the bus left without her. At first, we thought we would let her rant because it sucked but she kept on ranting and raving to us about how the bus driver is supposed to pick you up if he sees people and she wouldn't shut up. She kept on panting (moving back and forth) until she saw a security on a bicycle so she waved the lady down and told her the same story and the lady said that she could file some kind of complaint at bus services which was all the way down at bus stop #1 (mind you, we're at bus stop #9). During this whole time, Nick couldn't stop laughing which caused the rest of us to giggle too while her daughter is on the bench a few away from us who could probably tell what we were laughing about. So while the lady is away, another bus shows up (probably 10-15 minutes after the last bus) which wasn't as bad as the lady said it would be (buses comes every 30-40 minutes this late at night is what the lady said). So we get on the bus and head right to the back of the bus as we're especially cracking up now because her daughter saw the bus had to run down to get her mom so they don't miss this bus in particular. We are so hoping that she misses this bus too but they ended up taking their time as these bus drivers switched but we can see her running once again to make this bus so we couldn't control our laughter throughout the ride. Imagine how p*** she would be if she missed this bus too. Oh you gotta love people who go over the top at Disney. This lady really felt offended by Disney and I expect a lot of similar people when I work down there in the Fall.
I know this is probably your first flight...and it's mine too...ha, ha

Sounds like a fun trip! Kinda funny to think of the Swiss Family Treehouse as a "ride" though

Can't wait to read the rest... nothing quite like living vicariously through others!

Friday January 5

We decided to go to Animal Kingdom in the morning since that was the park that was opening early but by the time we ate breakfast, it was already 9ish so it was past that time so it was pointless anyway but that was fine. I actually had breakfast for the first time, but it was just a nutrition bar. I'm just not a big fan of breakfast especially on vacation.

Before we entered the park, the characters were out and about so Noah had to get their autographs so I figured I would get my pictures with them too. I got a picture with Miko from Pocohontas and Friar Tuck. Then we were introduced to a talking tree but it wasn't until later that I actually cared when we met the talking trash can. First thing we did was grab fast passes for Everest, while using Noah and Ellens tickets, even though they weren't going on it. Since it was late already, the fast passes weren't available until 3 and 4. We then decided to wait in the standby line for the Safari since it was only 30 minutes.

The safari was good because I had an end seat. At the beginning of the safarri, all of the animals were on my side (the left side) but as the ride continues, they happened to be on the right side, At least Marylou took some nice pictures so it both worked for the both of us anyway. After the safari, we went on the walking tour in Africa. It was fun to see all of the animals not being hot compared to August especially the gorillas. Too bad I got some bad pictures of a gorilla bending over lol. Marylou and I had a fun time in the bird section trying to find all the different birds. I felt like a true bird watcher. There was one bird called a "Goaway Bird" or something like that, I thought it was the name of the bird that I thought had an annoying sound but I don't think it was.

So after the tour, Nick & Katie were fighting over something so it was sad so we just sat around for a bit waiting around when we decided to split up after a mistake between Noah and I. Marylou and I had planned to go on the Rafaki's Planet Watch since I have never been down there as I always passed by it or been with people who were not interested in it. First, we ran into the talking trash can which was hilrarious. He saw me taping him so he asked me if I was from Massachusetts (because I had my Red Sox shirt on) told him I was from Rhode Island, and to tell everyone in Rhode Island to recycle. We followed him into a bulding where we saw them working on the Animals. Thats when I saw Jimimy Cricket for the first time so I got a picture with him.

Then we went into the Affection section which was neat as not all the animals were tied up, I wasn't interested in petting them as I just think it's a little nasty but one of the goats snuck up on me and nibbled on my shirt. It scared me as I was wondering who was touching my ass, when it happened to be one of the goats named Luke. Marylou and I had a fun time looking at all of the animals and just having a good time. We left and headed to Asia so we could go on the Asian Walking tour so she could see her Tigers. We took like 30 pictures of them and it was also weird to see them awake as well. They were actually moving (ok some were sleeping) but still good nonetheless.

After eating, we met up with Nick & Katie at Everest to use our fastpasses. They apologized for what happened earlier with Noah which helped me calm down after that. Noah and Ellen had gone back to the room to nap so it was just the four of us. With our fastpasses, we hopped right on and it was awesome because Marylou and I ended up in the front row so I got to see the track switching over and just had a great view of the big drop. Since we still had 2 extra fast passes, we gave it to them as Marylou wanted to go back to the room to lie down too.

Marylou took her nap while I walked around the hotel and hung out at the bar for a bit until she was ready to go out. We all split up into groups of 2 for the night as we were all going to EPCOT but everyone doing their own thing. Marylou and I had wanted to go to World Showcase for the Extra Magic Hours. We got there around 630 so we had a few hours before the EMH started. We made our way to Canada where I dragged her onto the 360 film which I love but she doesnt. How sad. It was disappointing to hear that Off Kilter doesn't play on Friday or Saturday so I would have to come back another day to hear them. I bought another Off Kilter CD in the shop then made our way to the United Kingdom. Since I already dragged her onto the Canada Film, I didn't want to drag her to see the British Invasion so we explored the shops, and tried on some hats and took some pictures of it lol. I grabbed a beer (half yard Harp) while we made our way to France while just exploring the shops and skipping the movie. We promised to return for dessert later in the evening.

Morocco was the best part as we found the spot where Dan proposed to Amy. I decided to be a nerd and tape the chair, but Marylou didn't know I was taping so she pretended to propose to noone on the chair and I got the whole thing on tape :) I love the aspect of Morocco and the shops. When your walking through the shops, It real feels authentic. By the time we got out of Morocco, It was time to explore Japan, Marylou bought some JAPANESE candy (that will come back into story later) then we got hungry so we planned to eat in America. I know of all the countries, we ate in America. Well I really wanted a foot long hot dog so we ended up missing half of Illuminations as I was waiting in line but caught the end of it by the time we sat down outside. It's fine because I don't like Illuminations as much as I did in the past.

We were still hungry and Marylou didn't feel like exploring the rest of World Showcase. That was fine by me as it gave me an excuse to come back to EPCOT in the future. So we slowly made our way back to France for dessert. On the way, Some stroller fell onto the ground as the person had put too much stuff on the handle so we couldn't stop laughing about that lol. I got some pudding while she got a cake I believe. I just love chocolate. We stopped and relaxed on a bench overlooking the World Showcase Lagoon. It felt good. Then we decided we would do Turtle Talk before we left since I told her that it will have a short line at night. We even got to ride the Seas with Nemo & Friends since that was walk right on as well. I liked it alot better during the second time having known what to expect.

The line wasn't bad at all and Turtle Talk was fun as it was last trip. Marylou enjoyed it as well which I was happy to hear too. We then made our way back to the hotel and went straight to bed.

Saturday January 6th

Today was the 1/2 marathon so we were hoping things weren't going to be too busy with the roads being full. Marylou's mom, Ellen wanted to stay at the hotel for the morning as she needed a day alone so it was just the 5 of us. We wanted to go to MGM so I figured today would be the day that I would be an extra at the Indiana Jones Stunt Show. However, I forgot my hat as that was going to be the thing that I was going to wave around to get their attention.

First thing we did was grab fast passes for Tower of Terror then made our way to the Indiana Stunt Show since that the show was only 40-45 minutes away and they tell that you should be there at least 30 minutes before show. I was worried at first that we wouldn't have a good seat because of the fastpasses. I think that it is stupid to have fastpass for a show. Luckily I forgot that theater is huge so there was plenty of empty seats in the first 5 rows so we grabbed a seat in the 3rd row on the left side of the theater. When it came time to choose extras, I waved around my soda bottle and my hidden mickey book and screamed. It was pretty easy to spot me so I was super excited that I chosen. I was so excited that I was also real nervous being in front of all of these people. They even asked for my name and where I was from. I could barely speak into the microphone being nervous/excited then they asked us to scream like we were in a pool of hot lava. I have never taken an acting class and having to act in front of all these people, I did a horribile job but at least that is all I had to do as the other people who got chosen later had to dance / stand in one position.

After the introductions, we got sent up to the top of the theater to get our clothes. Some lady even took a picture of me with my tongue on in my costume so it would be nice to see that on the internet someday. I was suprised that we were able to see the first act, I thought that we would be taken backstage so we would miss it but we got to catch the whole thing which was neat. I talked with some of the fellow extras, just small chat but it was nice as they were nervous and excited at the same time. After the first act, we made our way down and they talked about us some more as they were setting up the act behind us. The lady gave us some instructions as what we were supposed to do, like when Indiana is kicking butt, cheer him on, or point to him if something bad might happen to him and scream too. We even got to meet Indiana Jones and Merian which was neat. I said to him "I've always wanted to meet Indiana Jones" in a stupid excited voice.

After that, we started off the scene pretending to shop so we just did what we were supposed to and pretend like we were shopping for this stuff. I was at the far left so the lady told me to not go so far because there was going to be men coming right behind there. I did what I was told, It was real interesting to see everything from that point of view, and really part of the action. I had a smile on my face during the whole show and will never forget about it.

After Indiana Jones, Noah wanted to get the Power Rangers Autographs, so I grabbed a seat still being excited from the Stunt Show. Then we went inside the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playset which I havent been inside since I was 8 so it was cool revisiting the playground. Noah dragged me into one of the tunnels which made me bend down as I didn't want to crawl on my knees. I forgot when but we did go on Tower of Terror as well, as Katie and Nick went on by themselves while we watched Noah then we swapped while we rode it. Marylou was getting tired so we made our way back to the room leaving them behind as they were going straight to the Magic Kingdom. I watched the football game while she slept then made our way to the Magic Kingdom. First thing we did was Pirates since we haven't been on it yet. I like the changes they made the more I go on it. We tried meeting up with them but couldn't get in touch with them at all. So Marylou asked me if I wanted to see the Hall of Presidents. since she offered, i couldnt refuse as I like to mix up and go on the rides that noone else wants to go on. I love the end when all the presidents are out, the details are so good. I booed George W.

We skipped through Fantasyland to make our way to Tomorrowland, and got a fastpass for Buzz Lightyear but then we ran into the others. We ended up giving the fastpasses to Ellen and Noah while Nick,Katie and us waited in line for Space Mountain since we havent gone on it yet. Man I got the back row and I loved it. Since the line was shorter than we expected, we still had time to do a few more rides. We went on phillarmagic since Nick hadn't seen it yet, It wasn't as fun during the second time this trip having remembering what everything is heh then before they shut the rides down, we got to sneak on Peter Pan's flight before they closed the line then we got to catch the ending of Wishes from my spot to finish the night.

Sunday January 7th

Today was the day that Nick and I had been waiting for as it was the first day that Blizzard Beach would be open and it was the hottest day of the trip. The weather forecast was 85 and sunny and it didn't disappoint. However, one thing that did disappoint was Marylou was VERY VERY sick. She decided to not to go to Blizzard Beach and this would have been her very first time there. However, I know how much she doesn't like water slides and stuff so maybe it was the best for her not to go. I still went with the rest of the family while she stayed in the room to try to get better.

The full marathon was today so traffic was real slow. I really wanted to get to the park by opening at 10am because I know how fast the line for Summitt Plummett is after an hour or so. Since the drive there took forever, it was 11am by the time we got there and the line was already long. We gave our clothes and stuff to the ladies while we went to go wait in line. It was awesome seeing the whole Walt Disney World resort from the top of summit plummett. Nick loved it too as we were spotting out everything from there and we even saw Katie, Nick and Ellen but after awhile, we wasnt sure if it was them or not because apparently Ellen and Noah had left so all we saw was something that looked like Katie. Nick was getting a little nervous once we got nearby but he survived as did I as it had been 2 years since I've been on it. I didn't even open my eyes during the whole drop and just screamed all the way down.

After picking up Noah from the kiddy slides, we did the Family tube ride which was alot of fun as at first, it looked like we were going to tip over but it was a blast then I talked the others into doing the Tobaggon Race. Noah was worried the whole time we were in line but he loved it. At first Noah had all the momentum but in the end, the person who weighed the most won as Nick ended up flying right back us and won the race lol. We also did lazy river too which was real peaceful and fun as we all ended up getting seperated from each other but fun nonetheless. Then I ended my day at BB with the wave pool with the rest of us but I felt like I was leaving Marylou alone for too long so I decided to head back before the rest of them. The bus came and I woke up Marylou who was sleeping in the next room. I watched the patriots game while she got us some food since I needed a quick nap while the rest of them came back an hour or so later. Since Noah hurt his food at Blizzard Beach, Nick decided to stay at the room with Noah while the 4 of us went to the Magic Kingdom for Extra Magic Hours.

When we got there, we first did Pirates of the Caribbean again then strolled our way into Frontierland, we decided we could go on Thunder Mountain again but I mentioned something about the Country Bear Jamboree, well Katie and Marylou groaned, Ellen LOVED the idea so while the girls went on Thunder Mountain, Ellen and I went to see the Country Bears, it's a cute show as I got a good view of Big Al being in the front and snapped some good pictures. Then we met up and went on Haunted Mansion, saw PhillarMagic again since Ellen had never seen it (3rd time for me on this trip) and I barely got them to go on Snow White for me. Then we made our way to Tomorrowland again like we did the past 3 times we were in Tomorrowland. Ellen was getting tired so she headed back on her own while we went on Space Mountain to finish the evening again. [/b]
I know this is probably your first flight...and it's mine too...ha, ha

Monday January 8th

On this day, I was preaching that we needed to wake up early to make it on all the good rides without having to wait in 50 minute lines and since it was the 2nd to last day, I figured it would be a good day to get everyone motivated to wake up early. We ended up getting to EPCOT around 9:20 so that was real good news. Noah needed a stroller since his foot might bother him later in the day considering Epcot requires a lot of walking. So Marylou and I grabbed everyones tickets to grab fastpasses for Mission Space. After grabbing fastpasses, Marylou took some pictures of me in front of the Wonders of Life building. Will this be my last time in front of the building? I hope not, I hope that it opens up again next christmas time so I can go inside when I'm part of the college program.

They arrived and we went straight to Test Track which we walked right on. Being our first time on Test Track this trip, it was good and I wish I went on it a second time with Nick and Noah as they went on it while we waited for them to get off it so we could go on Mission Space. Ellen and Noah did the Green less intense version while the 4 of us did the oranage intense version. I got the job that I had the first time I went on it, the one that does the first seperation which is the best because thats when you first start feeling light headed which is amazing.

After Mission Space, I talked them into going on Soarin since Noah and Ellen hadnt been on it yet and the wait was only 30 minutes according to the time board. By the time we got there, it was listed as a 40 minute wait so we decided to wait in the standby line. Katie and Marylou werent big fans of the ride but Nick was so Nick and I rode on Soarin with Nick and Ellen. They both LOVED it especially Ellen, She thought it was a great ride, she came out so happy and I'm really glad that she did because she wasn't sure if she would feel sick after the ride. I was even suprsied that Noah enjoyed it as well. It was cool because Nick spotted the hidden mickey in the golf ball too.

When Soarin' was done, it was time for us to head to World Showcase which I was fine with since I could skip Universe of Energy and Honey I Shrunk the Audience since I went on both of them during the last trip. We went on the Mexico side this time and explored the shops in Mexico again. I bought Ellen a blanket since she loves the southwestern theme so I felt it would be the present that she would appreciate the most. She was so suprised and happy that she got it from me. Then we made our way to Maelstrom, it was walk right on too. And then we had to wait for the movie afterwards, Ellen wanted to watch the movie so Nick and I joined her since I had always wanted to see it (its been awhile) but I figured noone else would be interested in it so I have no problem passing it. It's not a bad movie, even if outdated, for a 5 minute movie about an interesting country in Norway.

Next was China, and thats when I saw Marylou, Katie and Noah with MUSHU!! I was shocked since the last trip, they told me that Mushu is not a character that is part of the parks. It's so sad that he has no line for people to take pictures with him but I was excited that I took some random shots of Mushu posing for me. By this time, we were getting hungry so I figured they were going to get some fast food in some country so I grabbed my fast food in Germany, a brattwurst as everyone waited for me to eat. We got to Italy and there is no fast food in Italy so they decided to eat in the Restaurant since the prices werent that bad for Lunch. Since I just ate, I wasnt that hungry but Ellen was buying so I made some room for some spaghetti. I'm glad I had the brattwurst though because the portions in Italy are so small.

After Italy, Nick and Ellen were heading back to the hotel while the rest of us wanted to explore the rest of World Showcase. By the time we got to Canada, it was almost time for Off Kilter at 3:30, I knew that Katie and Marylou had no interest in seeing them so I didnt want to keep them so I told them that I would see them myself and I could meet them at MGM later tonight. So before the show, I grabbed a moosehead, they played "Whiskey in the Jar" which made me excited and "Mari Mac" but the rest of the songs, I didnt know but which was good because it gave me a taste of their other songs like how "Alive" did during the last trip. After the show ended, I asked them if they take requests, and I asked them to play "Alive". The next show wasnt until 5:30 so I figured I could explore World Showcase some more. I tried finding the hidden mickeys in japan, and morocco and france. Then I got to the United Kingdom and had 30 minutes to kill before the next show so I went inside the rose & crown pub and got a guinness. I just stood at the bar and drank my beer and watched the people around me. It was real peaceful especially drinking guinness on draft :) Yum!

Off Kilter came on and played 2 songs before they mentioned that this next song was asked by request as they played "Alive". It was so wonderful that they played it for me and It is such a wonderful song. Afterwards, they mentioned again that song was on a special request as he pointed to me as I gave him a thumbs up and a thank you to the bassist ( I forget his name ). After the set, I was just in that mood, I could listen to them all day, I would love to get the custodial job in that Canada/UK Zone. That would be my perfect job. I started to make my way back to the entrance where I stopped in the Club Cool. I grabbed 2 cups, the Beverly and Japenese Coke. I had the beverly soda the other day with Marylou and hated it but I went back and forth with the 2 sodas, and it wasnt bad this time. Maybe because I had the 2 beers earlier? Then I hopped on Spaceship Earth as I needed to go on that ride again since I hadnt been on it since the first day.

Then I hopped on the bus to MGM Studios, I got my wrist band and was excited to see that the Little Mermaid was open for the EMH. I got front row again and I got chills again during "part of your world". I'm glad that I got to see it especially since I knew the others wouldnt see it. I almost went on "The Magic of Disney Animation" but the next show wasnt for awhile so I met the others and we made our way to the muppetts. The preshow rocks and always will! Then we did Star Tours again. One thing I loved about MGM at night is the loud music that they play throughout the park. Marylou and I started being silly, and started to dance and sing the songs that they were playing. It was a lot of fun.

We finished the night with Nick Marylou and I going on Tower Of Terror one more time. This was great as the Cast Members pretended that one of the seat belts wasnt working properly so the other cast member went on the phone and was asking about the problem while the other one shut the door on us with the other one still trying to fix the problem. Everyone LOVED It! And another funny thing, the kid in the front row was eating popcorn during the whole ride so in the picture, there he is with him eating popcorn. Good times.

At the room, we started to pack and I was just walking by one of the open drawers, and I saw a bunch of things in the drawer in a package. So I say innoncently, "Whoa, Look at the Japenese Candy" or something like that when it was actually Tampons. I felt like such a fool while Ellen and Marylou and I cracked up forever and couldnt stop laughing

Wow, you must be a writer for a living :)

And you're the only one I know that could confuse tampons with candy. :goofy_bounce:

It was just the heat of the moment, I wasnt thinking when I said it, it just came out.

They were in the drawer when we were packing and the first thing that came to my mind was the Japanese Candy as they were in a wrapping obviously and I forgot exactly what kind of candy she bought.

And No I'm not a writer, I have horribile writing skills but expect long journal entries like this in the Fall when I hopefully get accepted.

Tuesday January 9th

Today was our last day and it was very sad. Well at least we didnt have to rush out of our rooms as Ellen had bought the room for an extra day so we wouldnt have to be out of the rooms by 11. After all the packing was done, we went for breakfast and I actually had a real breakfast (my first during the trip), then Marylou and I decided to go to Animal Kingdom since we figured that we havent done much in that park compared to the others. The others were all going to the Magic Kingdom.

It was so weird to end my trip at the Animal Kingdom since I usually end it with Magic Kingdom but I really felt that we did everything at Magic Kingdom. We got to the park and we saw some plane spelling out "JESUS LOVES YOU" with his jet fumes, it was great. Then we saw the talking tree, we started to follow him and he said "Why you following me? I dont have a ticket so you wont be getting too far" Then we made our way inside the park.

First stop was Everest of course for a fast pass and when we got our fast passes, some lady gave us her fast passes that were currently available to use. So we went right on and it was fun even though it gave marylou a headache. Then we rode Dinosaur since we havent been on it during this trip. I really like that ride, it's so intense, at least for me. Then we made our way to the Safari, we waited in Standby as it was only 40 minutes.

Then we sat and ate at Pizzafari again, then we made a decision to either see Flights of Wonder or the new nemo show. Since we didnt feel like waiting in a 60 minute line for Nemo, We did Flights of Wonder instead which made me happy since I have never seen the show. I'm glad as I like bird and I liked the show. Then we went and did the Asian Walking Tour again so Marylou could see her tigers.

One tiger was relaxing until some girl went near the window (which she wasnt supposed too) and the tiger woke up and started to pounce and look directly at the girl. The cast member told her to please stay behind the pole but we got some good pictures of the tigers in the meantime.

Also during the walking tour, Marylou and I received Free Pins for the "Year of a Million Dreams" thing. It was real neat to be a part of that. Then we rode Everest again and it was wonderful as this time we kissed during the drop so you see us kissing in the photo lol. Let's say that the drop felt weird while not looking where your going hehe.

Then it was sad as it was time to get back to the room. I started to cry! I didnt want to go back home but here I am!
