Food to share for about $10
Sorry for all the questions, but the budget is tight and we are trying to get the best bang for the buck. At Disneyland in ReddyRods, there is a very good chicken and pasta dish for $9.95 and it is big enough to feed two people. Are there similar deals in WDW?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Try Earl of Sandwich at DTD - amazing selection of sandwiches and soups. I think the sandwiches are like $5.95 and the soup is maybe $1.99. Best value onsite.

in MGM, you can get a fairly big personal pizza (2 of the 4 slices are enough to fill me up for a good while), a salad, and a large drink for just over $10 ($10.28) at the Toy Story Pizza Planet. a similar deal is at AK in which you get the pizza and drink (no salad) for $8.28. depending on how much you eat, you can get a cheeseburger meal (cheeseburger and fries) and a drink for $7 or $8, and at Pecos Bills's in MK, you can load up on the fixin's bar (mmmm, mushrooms....)

The heck with all of that, you can get SALMON over at the land pavilion in EPCOT for $7.99 and add a drink for $2 and you still come in under $10 before tax. You get the salmon, which you get more than so of the fancier restaurants I have been to, and you get very good mashed too. I still can't find a better deal on this dish anywhere else.

By far the best value is at Trails End Buffet for lunch. $11.99 for an adult and all you can eat. You can't beat that.
I have to disagree with js3901 regarding the pizza at Pizza Planet; perhaps 2 kids could share one but there's no way two adults can share one pizza and be satisfied unless one is anorexic

I have to go with JS on this, I couldn't finish more than two, of course I did eat most of the salad too. When we did the Pizza Planet we hadn't eaten for about 6-7 hours and for me that is way to long for me. As a matter of fact I just polished off 2 sandwiches for lunch about 12:30p, I do that every day, and I am usually hungry again by 3p. But that Pizza filled me up, it might have something to do with it being rather fluffy. And add a salad too, man was I full. I should have shared with JS it would have been cheaper.QuickGold wrote:By far the best value is at Trails End Buffet for lunch. $11.99 for an adult and all you can eat. You can't beat that.

I understand what your saying with the pizza. If it was only the Pizza I would probably finish the whole thing but add in the salad. Of course if you don't eat salads then you are out of luck.

We've had a lot of success in splitting low cost meals at WDW; maybe it just takes less to fill us up. I agree with the Tusker House suggestion; the food is good and the portions are generous; my DH and I have split sandwiches there as well as the chicken. We have also split the taco salad at El Pirata y el Perico at Adventureland, the fish and chips in Epcot and sushi at the Japan pavillion, among other things. But we aren't looking to get filled up; we save ourselves for one big meal, usually at dinner.

I've always liked Pizzafari in AK for reasonably priced meals. Also, they are one of the few casual dining locations at WDW that accepts (at least the last time I was there) the Disney Dining Experience (DDE) card for 20% off all food & drink (even alcoholic drinks) (available for $50 for AP holders and FL residents).

2 huge bowls of Clam Chowder at the Crew's Cup Lounge at the Yacht Club Resort will definately fill you up on a chilly evening such as the one they're about to have tonight! (down to a low of 35" in Orlando tonight!) At $5 bucks a bowl, it is a great value for a really nice large portion in a great atmosphere.
