Hi Everyone:
I just wanted to give everyone a heads up when purchasing park tickets. My sister-in-law purchased their tickets on the Disney web site before departing NY. On the second day of our trip in early November, we lost my nephew's (first adult) ticket. We were on our way to Epcot for dinner and realized his ticket was missing. We had spent the day at Animal Kingdom. No one at Riverside was able to help us and they told us to go to Guest Services at one of the parks. We headed to Epcot and went directly to Guest Services. We told the cast member what had happened and she asked us exactly what parks we had visited since we arrived at Disney Friday evening. She verified the numbers from our two remaining tickets my sister-in-law had purchased (which matched the parks we had visited) and the Cast Member was able to give us a replacement for the lost ticket.
We were told by the cast member that as long as you purchase your ticket from Disney they can always track the purchase and replace the ticket. They cannot replace tickets that are purchased from another source.
We have visited Disney several times in the past few years and have never lost a ticket. After this experience, we will never purchase a ticket except from Disney themselves. A replacement ticket would have cost us another additional $200.00!
We were in Disney for 7 days and twice we found park passes left in Fast Pass Machines (which we handed to a cast member).

Wow! I'm glad you were able to get a replacement ticket. If that had happened to me, I would have just given up and bought another ticket. Good to know that my habit of losing things may not cost me a bundle at Disney. My family does try to keep all the tickets in one location with one person (not me!) the entire trip, so that helps a lot.
Drop another coin in slot and I will tell you more.

borjoyzee - The ticket was not refunded is was replaced with a ticket that had the same beginning date as the original ticket so we were left with the exact number of days left on the ticket. In fact, we did not have to use another day for the entry into Epcot that evening. Guest Services basically gave us a carbon copy of the original ticket that we lost.
