Candlelight Processional Dinner Package Question

Hello!

I am looking for tips/advice/first hand reports related to Epcot's Candlelight Processional Dinner Package. I understand that when I call to order my dinner package tickets, I need to select a restaurant and seating time. We (8 adults) have decided on a restaurant (LeCellier), but are unsure what seating time we should go with. The only show we prefer not to attend is the 5 PM show. Thanks for any information!

Personaly, I like the evening show. But if you also want to watch the fire works, you better go to the earlier one. Purchaseing the more expensive dinner package doesn't give you a better seat. You are herded in just like everyone else, but in a seperate line. The seats are not reserved! So you don't know where you will end up. The seats are like a high school stadium. Metal benches, and they cram as many as they can into each row. Then they keep asking you to move closer to the next guy. Every one wants in to see this show. If you are not there when they let the stand by crowd in, you better hope there is room left for you. They do not hold your seat just cause you paid for the dinner package. It fills up fast. The stand by crowd starts lineing up accouple of hours ahead of time. It is a must for the holiday! It realy moves you. What a great time of year to be at Walt Disney World. You will realy enoy it. You leave feeling "Blessed".

I'd plan on dining 2 hours prior to the time you want to see CP (longer if someone is choosing a Future World dining spot, espeically Coral Reef). They do allow early entry into the theatre for all CP Dinner guests - standby aren't permitted at the same time, but you will want to ensure you're at the theatre 20-30 minutes before your show time to wait in the CP Dinner package line (typically to the left of the theatre when looking at it from the American Adventure. I didn't feel herded at all, but they will ask you to slide down to ensure there is room for all guests who desire to see it.

I think the CP Dinner package is absolutely worth it, and I'd personally not do CP unless I had the package - you'll get an amazing dinner at (Le Cellier is incredible) and you won't have to worry about standing in standby with everyone else and his/her brother (you'll receive badges at check in for dinner that you wear designating your seating time for CP and giving you early admission into the theatre).

Enjoy! It is without a doubt one of the most spiritually moving events I've been to.

Thanks for the tips! I was told by a CM when making other dining arrangements that the CP Dinner Package tickets would go on sale in August. Any idea when in August that happens? Also, do they announce the narrators for specific dates in conjunction with the releasing of tickets? I've seen a tentative list of narrators, but no specific dates for appearances. As a teen of the 80's, I'm hoping to see Kirk Cameron (Growing Pains)! Thanks again!

Last year when we saw CP, Marlee Matlin narrated with an interpreter and it was amzing. She did speak unscripted at the end and it was very emotional and nice to hear a celebrity speak of their faith in the Christmas story. I would recommend seeing her narration if anyone has the chance.
