official east coast Subsonic meet-up

Post by js3901 » Jun Thu 29, 2006 11:14 pm

With a few of us (at this time, 4) going to WDW in the beginning of December, we;ll have an un-official Subsonic Radio meet-up in one of the parks on one of the days we'll be there. maybe that Monday (12/4/06). We could spend the day wandering one of the parks, get luch together, watch the fireworks or a parade... Let me know what day everyone wants to (can) do it, as I don't want to interfere with any plans you all have made so far.

At this time, we know that those in attendance (at least at the parks) will be:
Dr. Ravenscroft (tentative)
knedeau
and myself

Will anyone else be traveling down the "World" in the beginning of December?

You should take a look at http://www.mousefest.org and figure out a day and time based off that. I'll be down for Mousefest so I imagine others would be too.

I'll have to ask my sister! We already have an Itinerary. I think we are doing Animal Kingdom and MGM that day (Stopping over into Epcot for Dinner at the Akershus!)

I'll be there all week! (I"ll be in Magic Kingdom ALLLLLLLLLLLLLL day on Sunday too!)

going to miss mousefest by a day. I'd be leaving on the 7th and that's when the cruise portion ends and the land part begins. and that day I'm not really planning on going to the MK as I have a 20+ hour drive ahead of me after checkout.

WOW I didn't know you were driving. That is a haul. I figured out how long it would actually take me to drive down a while ago and decided against it until I have a better (more fuel efficent) car. If I use my 95 it will probably fall apart by the time I get to Richmond, VA. If I take the truck I will have to pay over $200 in gas eachway.

Yeah, I said I was going to drive in the email I sent. I figured between stops for gas, food, and tolls, it would be about $250 or so (with prices right now) each way. That would be the cost of the airlines as prices stand right now, and I don;t have to worry about lost bags, the 50 lb weight limit, delayed flights, etc. I have a Ford Focus that get's about 30mpg right now. I have a friend who can tweak it to about 35 or 40. I'm also going to use some of the gas treatments/cleaners to help it along.

I only called it "un-official due to you not being there. If you sanction it, then it's official. If you want to do an annoucement in the stream, go for it... :D

let's first nail down some kind of date/time/area/etc before officially annoucing it on the streams.

I will be down there, and may not have time to stay the day with the SR group. (Since I will be with my fam group already) BUT I WOULD like to say "Hi" and at least meet. I will Be at the MK All Day Sun.... and I may also have Thurs AM to myself (my sis wants to get a massage there... and I think that they are much cheaper closer to home... and I would rather spend my $$ in the parks... but I digress)

I know that Whatsapooh and I are staying in the Polynesian... and that js3901 and Dr. Ravenscroft are staying in FT. Wilderness. Perhaps we could meet for a Breakfast in the MK or one of the resorts that Thursday A.M.? OR WE could send pics of each other and be on the lookout in the parks! ( I could PM you all my Itinerary and vice versa!)

I'm bringing my Pink Mickey Hat!

I will be but I'm still working on the dates with my Brother. I was thinking of leaving for WDW on 10/13 or 10/14 and staying until the 21st or 22nd. If we both don't fall off the roof today we will be going to DL at the end of this month. I'm trying to get in as much Disney this year as I can before next year. I have a lot of vacation time coming to me so I have to take it.

I'm so upset, I would love to meet. Unfortunately I will be there from November 3rd to November 11th. Maybe December 2007!

hey, if this one works out, I'm planning another one next year. We can do the East Coast meet up annually, but if we decide to go in another month (other than december), we could do that too...
