During my trip the past two weeks to WDW, we had great success getting character meals by calling priority seating operators around 10:00 PM or later. We got into 2 at the Grand Floridian and even got to Hoop Dee Doo Review one night at 5:00 PM...and there were 7 of us. GF has a great buffet dinner with Cinderella and Prince Charming and a great breakfast buffet with Pooh, Alice in Wonderland, Mad Hatter, et al. It's worth the call to see if anything becomes available.

Good to hear you had some success with last minute dining arrangements! It's always worth a call to see if there have been any cancellations, even during uber busy times.

We have found it's easy to get a breakfast seating at Cape May around 10:30. It's a great time to go because the crowds are light, and the atmosphere is very relaxed and unhurried. Our favorite character meal is here.

We've never really had problems getting into any dining place (the Number you can call for priority seating is awesome! hehehe I have it programmed into my cell phone!) hehehe

I have had sucess even a few hours before. I called from T Lagoon when it started to pour at 3pm for a 6 pm dinner at Cape May. By 6 there were no walk ins. BTW, Does anybody remember the Aug 03 (I think) month of downpours?

bribren I think every August is full of downpours. It has been since as long as I can remember as a child through now, which has been over 15 years.

On topic, anyone know how different the Askhershus is now that it's princess dining? I'm going to find out in a week (YAY!) but I'd rather not get there and be utterly surprised and disappointed by massive changes in the menu. It doesn't seem to have changed much according to allears but I'm still scared....
