great pics for both of you (although I favor Quickgold's as I love WDW, and never been to DLR).
on a side note, if anyone is going soon, or if you know where to find some online, I'm looking for some decent quality pics of Timekeeper from WDW. I'd like pics good enough to be wallpapers for my comp. Every site I've been to that has decent pics for wallpapers does not have ANY pics of Timekeeper, save for MAYBE a sign saying "open seasonally" or something like that. thanks!

Thanks for sharing the photo's! Makes me want to go NOW!!!
My boyfriend is flying up (he's in Cali, I am in Mass

) and we have talked about jetting down to FL even if its just for a long weekend, he has never been to WDW and would like to at least see what the "hoopla" is all about
So we shall see!

js3901, I'd love to... I have an 8MP SLR camera, wallpaper-quality shots would be a piece of cake... except I think Timekeeper is closed when I will be there, in early December
If it's open, I promise to get you some to choose from.

great, thanks. I'd hope that since it's still listed on the official site as open seasonally, and Christmas is one of the busiest times of year (at least in the week of/a couple weeks after the date), they'll have it open when you go.

Quickgold - Great photos, especially the shots of Reflections of Earth. What kind of camera did you use?

Nikon Coolpix 4600. It's not the best dig camera I've ever seen or used, but it's the one I have and it does a pretty good job.
I've learned though that if you want great shots of fireworks, you need to get a mini-tripod. I have one that screws into the bottom of my camera and is about 3 or 4 inches high, so I just perch it on somethind and the pictures come out great (along with setting the camera into "Fireworks" mode).

Thanks QuickGold. The camera I have doesn't have a "Fireworks" mode, but it does have a "Night" mode. I'll have to give it a try.
