Amy: It is one of the few things you can get for FREE in WDW. We have always been the on-the-go type people, so this was not surprising for us.
Mindflipper: Mom and Dad did great and kept up pretty well. We didn't really get much sleep on the last night due to packing late and the early wake up for the flight. On the other nights we managed to get about 7 hours of rest. We definitely made up on the sleep on the night after we came back. Slept about 10 hours straight due to the exhaustion.

I always come home exhausted after a vacation. That's how you know you had a good time

My first trip to St. John I had to learn to slow down and enjoy the slower pace. That was not easy. I spent a lot of time swimming and snorkeling so I was always on the go when I could be, but it just isn't a place where you can go, go, go all the time ~ like at Disney

Sounds like you had a great trip, thanks for the report! It's always sad to have to leave WDW, isn't it? Personally, I wish I could live in the Presidential Suite in the Contemporary.

It's amazing to me how the crowds and the summer heat didn't seem to slow you guys down at all. Are you sure the Energizer bunny isn't somewhere in you family tree?

I also know that shirt. When I was there last, they only had in S and M, no L or XL. It's got to be popular. I kicked myself for not getting a pic of it so I could try to contact WDW merchandising about ordering it somehow...

Awesome report Len!!!!

I got a bit choked up when you said you turned to look at the Castle for the last time. That's when it always hits me that the vacation is coming to a close, saying Good-Bye to the Castle.

I'm so glad you returned safely home! I look forward to your pictures!!!

That was quite an experience that I hope to never have happen again.

I am okay saying goodbye to the rest of the parks, but there is something about saying goodbye to MK that makes me want to cry every time. After saying goodbye to the castle it always hurts to sit on that final bus trip back home.

Madeye, as far as the road to the airport, we usually take a way that has us taking I4 East. This time we somehow were in a hurry that we took 536 to 477. All I know is that we made good time, but I think it was a long cut.

Do you mean 417? Did it have tolls?

I hear you Len, there is something about MK! I do feel a sadness when leaving DHS and Epcot for the last time of our vacation, but I always tear up and usually cry a little on the bus ride back to the resort from MK. There's just this empty feeling in the pit of my stomach. *sigh*

You should see Mouseoholic's "going home" face! It's this grim, wild-eyed look she gets on the last day, where we run around like chickens with our heads cut off trying to cram in as much last-minute park mayhem as we can. We usually end up literally running to catch our airport transportation. But I know better than to cross her when she gets that look....
