Amy and F1gment ~ Day 9
MK was closed early this evening so we chose to go over to EPCOT and meet up with the Mousekecouple for Illuminations
Here comes our limo...
With the sun starting to set, Spaceship Earth was starting to glow beautifully...
We headed over to the Mexico pavilion to meet up with Mouskedude and Mouseoholic. They opted for a drink inside while we went ahead and found a spot for Illuminations. I found a penny right where I wanted to watch so I figured that was a good sign
While we were waiting for them to meet us outside, I ran over to the American Pavilion and got a quick photo of Whoopi Goldberg narrating the Christmas story...
I thought I got a better shot of the three of them before the show started, but this seems to be what I can find for the moment. One thing you won't see in the photo is the extra viewing area Mousekedude scored for us by moving a few strollers. I was all nervous that people would come and start yelling at us, but he was the smart one as no one even ever appeared
A few shots from Illuminations...
I like this shot because I actually was lucky enough to take a hot air balloon ride over the African desert...
At this point, we said our final goodbyes to the Mouskecouple and Mom and I set off to ride a few more attractions before we set off back to the hotel...
I
love these fiberoptic pavement lights!!!
If you have managed to make it to the end of this rather lengthy post, I have an amusing story to the end of our day. We waited for our bus and when we finally were able to get onto a bus, we noticed the bus driver seemed a little harried and cranky. We pulled up to the All Star Sports and he came around to the back to see if we were getting off there. We told him no, we were staying at Music. A few families exited off the front of the bus at Sports. We then went on ahead to Music. Once we got there, all the people stood up and lined up at the back door which wasn't opening. Then we see the driver was standing at the rear of the line that was not moving. It took him a minute but then he seemed to realize that none of the people were going to exit the front of the bus, and they weren't going to move so he could open the doors from the rear panel, so he went back to the front of the bus and opened the rear doors. After everyone tromped out the rear doors, I caught his eye as he was unlocking Mom's scooter and said, "I bet you wanted them to go out that other door didn't you." He just smiled and chuckled.
So there you have it, day 9 of our wonderful trip. Only 5 days to go
