What is it, Mousekedude, about you and getting to the airport trouble-free? Maybe you're not suppose to leave WDW? Maybe your departure, as they might say in ETR, has got "the tiki gods angry"...

Aww, your trip is over
I liked seeing the views from the monorail
I love Mouseoholic's photo of Spaceship Earth with the sun ~ it's beautiful! Did she use a filter?
You are a brave man M-dude, I don't know that I would have thrown fried fish down the gullet after feeling a bit iffy...

Re: Dec 2010: Mayhem Invades Disney World!!!
Mindflipper: Hmmmmm.... yeah, that's it... the tiki gods were angry that we were leaving. Think they might be angry enough to help us get back there again?
Amy: Thanks.
As for the SSE pic, well, I'm not sure, but I think we may have put the UV filter on the lens for that one. I'll have to ask if she remembers. As for what I tossed in my gullet.... well, I've been known to do crazier things. Growing up poor in redneck country, I learned at a young age to be willing to eat anything that's not moving... and some things that are.

Who wants to join me for raw oysters and jalapeno margaritas...?

Amy: Thanks.

M-Dude: I have said it before and I will say it again---the two of you take AWESOME photos. Always great angles, always crisp---I love it! And I agree with Amy..I can't beleive it's over...
Amy: Thanks for the Christmas shots! That was one place I didnt get to see that I would have liked to. Did you find the 14 hidden mickeys?

You're most welcome H. I do have some more Christmas photos coming up in the trip report. Uh, no. We were mostly just passing through so I didn't think to look for hidden mickeyswewantsdaredhead wrote:M-Dude: I have said it before and I will say it again---the two of you take AWESOME photos. Dangit!!! *in my best child-like whiney voice* But Disneyland's has handbell ringers......(though we've yet to physically see the show, I've seen pictures)NaCler wrote:Amy - Yes, they still have CM ringers (no, MmeLeota, not handbell ringers) in the choir to help.
On a small side note...the DL carolers also had handbells. At least for the media day. When we saw them on our local news station they were all singing and ringing. (A very difficult feat...)
Mousekecouple - Once again I must sound like a broken record...your pics are AMAZING!!! I love the SE with the sun pic!!! That's definitely one of my faves from the whole trip!

Isn't DL's only done once or twice a year during the Xmas season? At EPCOT, it's done from Thanksgiving to New Years; with as many chorus change-overs there are it would be hard to require every chorus to sing and do bell-ringing.MmeLeota wrote:Dangit!!! *in my best child-like whiney voice* But Disneyland's has handbell ringers......(though we've yet to physically see the show, I've seen pictures)NaCler wrote:Amy - Yes, they still have CM ringers (no, MmeLeota, not handbell ringers) in the choir to help.

Yes. DL only has 2 shows of the candelight processional over one weekend. A Saturday and Sunday, usually the first weekend of December. Unfortunately, that is a crazy busy time of year for us and is why we've yet to see the show. I know that WDW's version is performed much more than DL's. But there is also space for it there...in DL they block off half of town square just to set it up.mindflipper wrote:Isn't DL's only done once or twice a year during the Xmas season? (as far as the carolers with bells go, they usually perform along Main Street. Whether or not they are involved in the actual show, I don't know. I'm pretty sure the ringers used in the show are a local group.)

Wow I had a lot of catching up to do again!
Amy, you made me hungry with all the pictures of the food! Glad to hear the happy ending to your candle light procession line story. Love the water art and the Friendship 8 has my favorite color scheme: yellow and blue.
M-dude: I know that face all to well in the last day... The going home face! It's completely normal. I seriously wonder what it is about leaving WDW and your issues with almost missing your planes back. I wonder if there is some sort of magical powers trying to make you stay just a bit longer in the world! A great trip report and fantastic pictures all around. I can't wait to see your next trip!

Re: Dec 2010: Mayhem Invades Disney World!!!
Len: Yeah, I wonder about the mysterious cosmic forces that try to keep us there....
And thanks for the compliments.
Mindflipper: We keep in regular contact with the Boilers and can report that they are: (A) Very busy these days... especially with extremes in weather that cause delays in their daily routines, and (B) suffering from serious Disney withdrawal that robs them of the energy and enthusiasm to get back to the Boards.
But Boilerbabe assures us that she misses y'all very much, and will get back in the swing of things here soon.
