I like that a lot. Any pictures of the finale from Illuminations? It is one of the impressive finales to any fireworks show that you could possibly see.

Back to Future World to watch Illuminations. Wow they were amazing! But the fireworks the night before over MK was even better. Now to walk all the way back to the International Gateway, out through the Boardwalk, out to our car, drop our Son off at the All-Star sports with his team, then back to our hotel and up to the room. All in all a wonderful day! And by the way, the pedometer read 7.8 miles today! We were exhausted! A few hours sleep and up at 6am the next morning, (Mon July 5th), for another baseball game!

Gorgeous night shots!!! Thanks for sharing!

What did you think of Chefs Le France? My mom and I have an ADR there at the end of Oct. we've never been! I'd like to know what others think about this restaurant?!

Awesome trip report, and great pics! Nice!

Boilerbabe, you won't be disappointed by Chefs de France, as far as the food goes. Very good! But Disney did the whole "authenticity" thing a little too well there: most of the wait staff are aloof and unfriendly, at least by comparison to normal Disney standards. But... the French tend to be rude to Americans, so... authentic!

I really must stand up for the French. All of the people I dealt with in France were quite lovely. I made an attempt to converse in French whenever I needed assistance and I think that made a big difference. I do think they can be a little aloof to larger groups of "ugly americans" though...and before anyone yells at me, I am not calling Mouskedude ugly!!

That being said, cousininmiami, Mmmmm, that cheese plate looks yummy! :D And I take photos of food...why not?! It's a good way to show people what you ate while you were there.
I must say I usually don't take photos of the corn dog nuggets though...not many people envying that meal...although, with the recent stir the Mickey McNuggets made on here, maybe I should take a picture of the corn dog nuggets...hmmmm....

I have no problem with you standing up for the French, Amy. That's cool, and I meant no harm. I'm not saying they were rude or unfriendly, it's just my (and a few others) observation that there is a little less friendliness and a little more aloofness there than in any other Disney restaurant. And by the way.... I loathe rude, obnoxious, ungrateful "ugly-American-tourist" types, and I always treat wait staff with the utmost pleasantness and respect. So it wasn't me or mine that was the cause. As far as comparisons to the outside world, the wait staff in Chefs de France were still much nicer than most non-Disney establishments, because Disney sets the bar pretty high for its people. But there was definitely a perceptible difference in the level of warmth and friendliness with the French wait staff as compared to other countries' wait staff in the World Showcase restaurants, and it's common knowledge among world travelers that the French tend to be more snooty. Just sayin'....
Bottom line, though: it's a minor thing, and you should definitely have a good experience there overall. We always have. :D

Not faulting you in any way Mouskedude, just wanted to put forth my own observations gained while traveling. I had heard horror stories about the French before my trip and I didn't run into any of it.
Maybe Disney is trying to be authentic to the way the French are perceived in the States?
