So far my only regret is not reading the resort recreation schedule given to you at check-in. If only I would have known that everyday at 4:15 they do dancing with the lifeguards. I have the perfect funny dance move.... I guess that is motivation for next year. Other than that.... so far no major regrets that I can think of. I'm sure they will come out within the next month.

So Len, have you danced with the lifeguards now that you've had three years to rectify that regret?Len90 wrote:So far my only regret is not reading the resort recreation schedule given to you at check-in. I don't know if I have any regrets or not. I suppose that I am in such a hurry to see and do that I don't always remember to stop and just appreciate all the atmosphere. I did that a little more on this past trip though since I knew we didn't have another trip on the immediate horizon...but I could have slowed down a bit more too...

I think his only regret now is that Minnie didn't say "Yes" to his proposal...

Re: Your One Regret
I do wish that I had taken more pictures in Epcot on my first trip in 1992, and appreciated the attractions more. It turned out to be the only time I was ever able to ride World of Motion, Universe of Energy and the original Journey into Imagination. (we were fortunate enough to ride Horizons on our honeymoon)
I liked them but only seeing them once, memories are a little fuzzy.

Re: Your One Regret
I wish that we had more pictures from our earlier trips. I remember one that we have of my Dad and me sitting somewhere in EPCOT. That is locked in a non-functioning computer at the moment too
I wish I would have taken a lot more photos at DL when they were building California Adventure. That was our first trip to DL and we sat in the front cabin of the monorail and I snapped a few photos, but not a lot...

You didn't miss much, it literally was a huge pile of dirt for most of it (when they had the viewing platform).

We have pictures from DCA being built, but we have no clue where they are. But yes, I remember it being a pile of dirt for the longest time...I remember the viewing platform and the tent next to it with the preview center.

I don't even think it was that far along when we were there...MmeLeota wrote:We have pictures from DCA being built, but we have no clue where they are. But yes, I remember it being a pile of dirt for the longest time...I remember the viewing platform and the tent next to it with the preview center.

I also wish that we had more pictures from when my parents took me to Disneyland as a kid. I did not like characters so I do not have many pictures with characters at all, but my parents firmly believe that a picture should have at least one of us in it and so they do not take random pictures of attractions or atmosphere. But I was such a scaredy cat as a kid, it's any wonder why we kept going to Disneyland.
Though I always liked IASW and Tiki Room...and mom says I was never scared of the Haunted Mansion (go fig).

I would think you would have been scared of the Haunted Mansion then ~ weird...MmeLeota wrote:I also wish that we had more pictures from when my parents took me to Disneyland as a kid. We don't have many photos from our first WDW trip either. It was a different age though ~ you had to buy film and pay to develop it so you didn't randomly snap photos like you can with digital. I guess that's progress for ya

That regret was taken care of during the 2010 vacationAmy wrote: So Len, have you danced with the lifeguards now that you've had three years to rectify that regret?

Too funny mindflipper, but there are definitely other things that I do regret not doing/seeing. I really do wish I would have been able to appreciate the original EPCOT Center more. I really don't remember Horizons or World of Motion at all.mindflipper wrote:I think his only regret now is that Minnie didn't say "Yes" to his proposal...
That is another big thing a huge reason why I make sure to take tons of pictures with each vacation. IMO there can never be too many pictures (especially in the digital age), but there can always be too few.MmeLeota wrote:I do wish that I had taken more pictures in Epcot on my first trip in 1992, and appreciated the attractions more. Awkward is all I can say. My personal feeling is that you would be scared of the characters AND dark rides like Haunted Mansion, not just one of the two.MmeLeota wrote:I also wish that we had more pictures from when my parents took me to Disneyland as a kid. Re: Your One Regret
I also have the regret of not having a lot of pictures from my first trip with my parents in 1975, I know they took pictures but since they have both past i have no idea where they are. I think the next time I'm in NYC I'm gonna have to raid my oldest sister's basement and see if they are in a box.

Re: Your One Regret
As long as we're talking about photograph-related regrets... one regret that surfaced over and over when we were going through all these slides this past weekend was the number that had none of us in them. It's almost like my dad shooed us all out of the picture. Sure, there are some, but it's about 1/10 or maybe 1/9 of all the slides. Looking through the photographs I have taken, I've tried too hard on our family vacations to make the pictures "artistic" or "high quality" and haven't captured our family memories enough.
That's going to change this next trip.

That's a good idea cy1229. They will only be little (sort of) for a little while longer. I would think it would be fun to look back and see how much they've grown.
