I'm terrible at trip reports. I never know what to actually write about, or how much detail to go into. That's why no trip report from Tokyo ever appeared after my trip (or Paris, or America before that!)

Trip reports are not narcissistic. We all love Disney and are drooling in anticipation of more pictures so we can imagine ourselves on your trip. It also gives us ideas of ways to spend our time. so delaying because you're maybe a little shy about what you did, or don't know that anyone is really interested, needs to be put out of your mind. Not having time, ok, but work at it a little at a time because

I had to really laugh at the "this isn't the usual "no one wants to see your vacation slide show" group" comment. My friends (and family) always say they want to see pictures, but they really mean, we want to see about 5 pictures and then we will start talking about other things and not really paying attention to your pictures

That's when you can have them made into a photobook (Shutterfly, Snapfish, etc.) and have it on your coffee table or another prominent place. Then if your friends are interested, they can look through it at their own pace, and ask questions if they want and not if they don't.

I still hear complaints of "we haven't seen all of your pictures from your trip", but no one really wanted to sit and look through more. And I don't want to try to print out all those photos! Plus, now they are locked in the dead computer

SOMEONE should be able to take your hard drive out and pull your photos off. I'm 99% sure a former student of mine would know how. It's too bad you don't live close, I'd send him to you.

You can always set up a second ticker if you are able to get another trip in there. What's better than one trip planned with a ticker?? TWO trips planned with tickers
The only reason we have a trip in the works is because my oldest brother got us tickets ~ airfare is so expensive! Although as we are finding out, the hotel is pretty expensive too

The thing that kills me is that we are DVC. We were stupid with our points from last year, and borrowed too many and then had to sell them. So I am waiting on closing on a new contract.

So, I have no points - airfare is too high... and yet I am still determined to make it happen! LOL
