Gorgeous picture from the CB resort. Love the water reflection :D
We haven't seen the cowboy scene for so long in the Great Movie Ride. Is the cowboy on the right in your photo a AA?
Nice that they opened up some alternative routes for walking. Always fun to get a peek backstage :D
What is your little Vinylmation figure? Was it special for New Year's Eve?
I finally figured out when you can be guaranteed to see the cowboy scene... when GMR runs two vehicles on a busy day, be in the first one. It will go ahead through the gangster scene to the western town for the cowboy; the second vehicle behind that one stops in the gangster scene as it usually does.

They told us to go ahead and ask at the Great Movie Ride if they are running both scenes. The CMs said they are happy to tell you if they are running the Cowboy scene. They also said you are more likely to be able to see the Western scene on a busier day. They also said it depends on how many CMs they have scheduled for the day...

MmeLeota - thanks. We knew the MK would be a mad house on NYE with not a lot of room to move. We figured EPCOT has plenty of room with the World Showcase. I think we made a great choice especially since the MK previewed the fireworks.

Amy - the cowboy is not an AA. That's the character that explodes the bank with his TNT and then hijacks the ride vehicle until the Indy scene. The VM figure is a chaser that we blind boxed while we were there. It is a cool version of the castle so I thought I would add it in there. Thanks for the kudos on the CB pic. That site was so calming and serene.

WWDRH - thanks for the inspiration to finish the report. Glad you liked it. Don't be so quick to rule it out. It was sooo much better than I thought it was going to be. You just plan around it. We didn't go on Spaceship Earth at 60 minutes, but held out and waited only about 20. We knew we couldn't do Test Track but that was fine with us. We found a table at La Cava Del Tequila and hung out there for awhile. There are also DJ stages posted throughout EPCOT that play dance music and popular line dances. I didn't post the video of me doing the "Wobble" in front of the Fountain of Nations at 11pm, but it was a lot of fun!

I guess I can revive this thread again since I KNOW Amy will be screaming for a report starting Monday. :D

The background for this trip... Originally it was going to be a family trip for the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, but since there are 10 of us going (4 adults, 6 kids) and tickets are roughly $45 a piece, we scrapped that idea and are just going to celebrate my son's 7th birthday. His best friend also celebrates a birthday in October, so we are taking him with us. The plan is for Animal Kingdom Saturday until we finish everything, dinner at Rainforest Cafe. Then Magic Kingdom Saturday night since it is open until Midnight. Sunday will start with DHS as the kids really want to fight Darth Vadar and ride TSMM. HOPEFULLY after that, there will be time to visit EPCOT for some Food and Wine Festival before we head home Sunday night. Short trip, but should be packed with fun!

Participants:
Adults: Me, my wife, my sister and my mother
Kids: My 2 boys, my daughter, my son's best friend and my sisters 2 boys... pray for us! ;)

Sounds like a grand time. You are the nicest parents to take a friend of your son to WDW! I'm pretty sure there is some adage about children outnumbering the adults, but I think I'll keep it to myself ;)
Have a great weekend! Enjoy AK ~ it really is a nice park :D
Report when you can, no rush, Hakuna Matata and all that ;) ......but Don't. Forget. The. Pictures!

All those kids...   ...and only 4 adults?!? You are so outnumbered, NaCler. This could be a more frightening time than anything WDW or USO could do for Halloween!

Wow, ten people, four parks, two days... and you thought my touring plan was aggressive!!!

Where are you staying?
How old is your daughter and your other son? And your nephews?

Hubby laughed when I told him you asked for prayers. We'll send them, but I wonder if God isn't just smiling to Himself at the absurdity of your trip. :) I hope you have a GREAT time!!!

Thanks Amy! We are back safe and sound from our whirlwind trip. No spoilers but I did manage to try some exotic foods today. ;) Uploading pics tonight and HOPEFULLY will get the trip report done tomorrow or the next day.

Oh, as a teaser, we did get to hang out with a character who has NEVER been seen in the parks before today...
