You got some awesome pics! We were anxiously awaiting the stern so we could see what character was used. That was one thing they kept under wraps at the D23 Expo...I can't wait to see all the detail! Awesome that your friend's dad was the one who designed Dumbo!

Re: Living and Working at Disney- Soarin's CM Journal
I so hope we can take pics onboard on the 15th. I'm so excited to see the interior. I've only seen photos of the interior, and they don't do it justice.
NaCler, you'd asked the itinerary.... the Fantasy is indeed calling Port Canaveral her home and will sail 7 night Eastern and Western Caribbean cruises.

Soarin', are we ever going to see details of Art of Animation?

The only two places I will ever need to be are Manhattan and Disney World.

...I mean see the detail of the ship in person...MmeLeota wrote:You got some awesome pics! We were anxiously awaiting the stern so we could see what character was used. I'm not sure that she was able to get any pictures at this point, but hopefully in the near future! But I'm looking forward to hearing all about it!DemonOfMusic wrote:Soarin', are we ever going to see details of Art of Animation?

(one small beef with it right off the bat though...with all of the great Disney animated classics, why do "Finding Nemo" themed rooms when there are already "FN" themed rooms at Caribbean Beach Resort?)

I assume it is because kids today will relate more to Nemo than some other movies.MmeLeota wrote:(one small beef with it right off the bat though...with all of the great Disney animated classics, why do "Finding Nemo" themed rooms when there are already "FN" themed rooms at Caribbean Beach Resort?)
Now...why they are going to have The Little Mermaid AND Finding Nemo...I have no clue. All-Star Movies already has Toy Story...which I think would have worked at Art of Animation.

I don't see how both are that conflicting.... they're two totally different films, after all.theBIGyowski wrote:I assume it is because kids today will relate more to Nemo than some other movies.MmeLeota wrote:(one small beef with it right off the bat though...with all of the great Disney animated classics, why do "Finding Nemo" themed rooms when there are already "FN" themed rooms at Caribbean Beach Resort?)

Once you see the Nemo part though, if any of you can on future trips, you'll see why it is a good fit. I was hesitant till I saw it. I'm in love with it now. There you go, a teaser leading up to the full report.

I guess because both carry the same "under the sea" theme. If they do them different enough from one another it would work though, I guess.Soarin08 wrote:I don't see how both are that conflicting.... they're two totally different films, after all.theBIGyowski wrote:I assume it is because kids today will relate more to Nemo than some other movies.MmeLeota wrote:(one small beef with it right off the bat though...with all of the great Disney animated classics, why do "Finding Nemo" themed rooms when there are already "FN" themed rooms at Caribbean Beach Resort?)

We were watching like kids on Christmas!dstrawn9889 wrote:Dumbo and the mouse is on the stern of the FantasyMmeLeota wrote:You got some awesome pics! I can see the difference with TLM and FN...and I don't doubt that FN is well done and fits with the resort...I just don't understand why they chose to do FN when there's already FN rooms at CBR is all. I understand that kids relate more to the "modern" films (such as Pixar)...I just think it would have been a great opportunity to renew interest in a different classic instead of repeating a theme already carried a another resort.
Not complaining or anything, just curious as to why...

may be a lead-up to a refresh at CBR... to go with a different theme in the room...
