Maybe the friend... me, doubt it. Even if I AM legal. I have to wait until I'm no longer at a college that prohibits us from drinking even when we're not there (screw the Honor Code sometimes....). So once I'm at UCF next year...Amy wrote:That's what I thought you said...but I thought you two might be enjoying a pint or two as wellSoarin08 wrote:Second. Your college prohibits drinking?! Do you go to a Mormon school? Wow, I don't know if I have ever heard of a dry campusSoarin08 wrote:Maybe the friend... me, doubt it. Even if I AM legal. Brigham Young University- Idaho. So yes. I'm... haha. Quite... lax in my beliefs. I don't WANT to follow the rules but if it got back to the school while I'm enrolled I can get in trouble. We even had to be in CP housing regulated by the university this previous program.Amy wrote:Your college prohibits drinking?! Do you go to a Mormon school? Oh yeah, I guess BYU would be a dry campus ~ good for you for being conscientious! As the priest told me in Ireland as I was leaving mass (even though I am not Catholic) "Good gurrrrl!"Soarin08 wrote:Brigham Young University- Idaho. So yes. I'm... haha. Quite... lax in my beliefs. It's quite the challenge though, both for me and my roommate. But... we do our best.Amy wrote: Oh yeah, I guess BYU would be a dry campus ~ good for you for being conscientious! As the priest told me in Ireland as I was leaving mass (even though I am not Catholic) "Good gurrrrl!"

Wow! A dry university campus! I think the poeple I went to UF would have rather gone to prison (for them, that would have been prison)!

Yeah sometimes it's a bit extreme... hence why I'm going to transfer next year. UCF is calling.mindflipper wrote:Wow! A dry university campus! I think the poeple I went to UF would have rather gone to prison (for them, that would have been prison)!

I got to tour its campus once many years ago (before this century) and it really seemed like a nice place...Soarin08 wrote:Yeah sometimes it's a bit extreme... hence why I'm going to transfer next year. Yeah, I've been to the campus a few times. A fellow CM I worked with at SSR graduated from there and loved it. My mom has been pulling the "wish you went to college closer" thing so maybe she'd agree to it.

Same would probably go for Rutgers. If they had a system like that I would always be able to get a seat on the bus!mindflipper wrote:Wow! A dry university campus! I think the poeple I went to UF would have rather gone to prison (for them, that would have been prison)!
Good for you Soarin for keeping up on the honor code!

If it was UF, not only couldn't you fill the bus, but you wouldn't be able to get anyone to drive the bus!Len90 wrote:Same would probably go for Rutgers. I would give anything to take a solo trip to WDW! So many things to do...so little time LOL.
Re: Very First SOLO Trip... aka Official Vacation 7
So at 30 days now... date-wise, EXACTLY a month. I'm literally going crazy over here. It's this strange blend of excitement and nervousness (and it has nothing to do with traveling there, either!).
Though my mom is trying to see if I can get a place in CP housing for the 7 week break from uni so I can work... if THAT happens then I'd be there for like... a long time.
ANYWAYS...

That would be pretty nice to have a job while you are there ~ then you can spend more time! Although you would have to workSoarin08 wrote:So at 30 days now... date-wise, EXACTLY a month. ANYWAYS...But you would get money! Hmmm, good luck either way!

I'd like to stay the seven weeks to spend as much time with my friends as I can, so we'll see. I'll know in a few weeks.
