Hopefully you can salvage some of the weekend and get to see the mouse ~ but if you can't, at least you and your boys can get down to see your Dad...NaCler wrote:WWDRH - Yes, but we got some bad news yesterday regarding Dad's cancer rearing it's ugly head again. So, important Dr's Appt on Friday and the fact that the parks are still pretty crowded for a one day trip may cause us to cancel this one. We're thinking about switching it to Saturday instead of Friday if we still go. I'll keep y'all posted. This would be a bittersweet trip...

Hate to say it but as busy as it is I say cancel and save some money for a future trip. The parks are obnoxiously busy on the weekdays now, I can only imagine what a Saturday would be like for a one-day trip!!!NaCler wrote:We're thinking about switching it to Saturday instead of Friday if we still go.

MadEye - Believe it or not, touringplans.com says that Friday will be much worse at MK than Saturday will. MK is actually a recommended park for Saturday. We're regulars anyway, so if we don't do too much, it's not too big of a deal. I think Mom and the boys are looking forward to trading vm's more than anything this time. They were really looking forward to the Tiki Room, but we all know that's not going to happen next week.

To each their own. You never know. The Haunted Mansion new interactive queue could be open. Good luck if you do go!NaCler wrote:MadEye - Believe it or not, touringplans.com says that Friday will be much worse at MK than Saturday will. MK is actually a recommended park for Saturday. I remember a year ago I went on March 26 and from the crowds present I would have thought I was there for December 25. What makes it so scary busy this time of the year?

Thank you sir. The HM queue is what I am looking forward to... and some vm trading. I've been watching line times on my phone and they haven't been too outrageous. Mainly 15-20min for everything (excluding the big rides, of course). The thing that scares me is that I have been seeing pictures of the Country Bears and Captain EO shows with full capacity!MadEye wrote:To each their own. You never know. mindflipper - I'm sure it is due to Spring Break for many schools. Each park has extended hours every night it seems and it's still crazy.

The number of counties in the country that have spring break week. It's like this from early/mid-March - late-April/early-May. The worst is the one for the locals (March 28th - April 1st).mindflipper wrote:I remember a year ago I went on March 26 and from the crowds present I would have thought I was there for December 25. Re: The Many Adventures of NaCler (& Family)
I will admit our day in MK on March 26, 2010 was one of our worst Disney experiences as a family. My mother has decided she will not go back again to WDW. When it gets that crowded, there are just too many idiot guests, and they're just too dangerous...MadEye wrote:The number of counties in the country that have spring break week. Nacler, we are so jealous!!!! Congrats on being able to schedule so many trips. We are thinking about January 2012 but too much is going on right now to book anything. If all works out well, we may make a quick trip in October for F&W. It’s so nice that you are able to go with your kids and spend some quality Disney time together.

Yeah, I'm still trying to convince my wife to run the Half in January 2012. It sounds like quite a few Subsonicers will be there, so we could have another meet! Good luck and thanks!

Sounds like a plan, Amy.
Where else is on that list, mindflipper? I assume Hawaii?
