I have Sprint so I ended up with the new Evo. I love it! It has 8 mega pixels. And took some great pictueres when we were in Mackinac! There were times when I didn't have my other camera on me so I used my phone!Amy wrote:What sort of megapixel count do they have? When pizza is bad...it's still pretty good.

Big... Excellent job so far. One of the best trip reports I have read on these Forums!

Day 4 (cont.)
Our next country was Japan. I think Japan has the prettiest display of their culture from the trees to the water to the fish and the buildings. I have been to everything in Japan at some point in the past, so DW and I just decided to spend 30 or so minutes walking around the grounds there enjoying the atmosphere.

Right as we were leaving, the taiko drummers came out and put on a show!

Next stop was Morocco. This is such a peaceful country to stroll through. It's amazing how you can just lose yourself there...and completely forget you are in Epcot. DW and I kept joking about getting me a fez...but one of these days I am going to get one! We also stopped to look at the menu for Restaurant Marrakesh and decided that we want to try and eat there on our next trip.
France was next...and DW loved this one! Her favorite Disney movie is Beauty and the Beast...so I made sure to show her the beautiful windows that tell part of the story. We walked through and looked at all of the different wines and then back on the French alley. I don't think I had ever been there before...but I thought it was so quaint and relaxing. We did not see Impressions de France...but maybe we will next trip.
After this we came upon the International Gateway and decided to go check out the Epcot resorts just like we did the MK Monorail resorts. I had never been over there before...so it was a nice treat. The only downside was that the Florida heat and humidity decided to kick in full force at this point. We loved the theming of these resorts and how peaceful and quiet they were right there on the water.

One of these days we would love to stay in one of these beautiful resorts because World Showcase is perfect for those of us who love great food and great drinks. We made our way to the Boardwalk and then across the bridge to the International Gateway again. Now it was time to stroll through the United Kingdom!

And of course...you cannot go through the UK without a pint of Bass! It was perfect on that hot afternoon! We picked up our pints and found a table and chairs behind the Fish & Chips stand...on the water. The breeze and the booze were enough to make you completely forget about the Florida heat and humidity. What a beautiful view as well!

We sat there and just enjoyed the rest for about 30-45 minutes. After that we headed to Future World to check out Innoventions. It's sad how lame that whole area is now...compared to how cool it was when I was growing up. Really all we could do was walk through and enjoy the air conditioning...but we were pretty much bored to tears. After that we rode Test Track and then came back to the Fountain of Nations.
Now we had a big decision to make...where to go next. We knew we wanted to watch Illuminations from Italy...but do we go clockwise or counter-clockwise to get there? DW wanted another margarita so she could think about it more...which pretty much meant clockwise. So we headed to Mexico and DW got a frozen lime margarita and yours truly got the tri-colored one...the "sissy one" as DW liked to call it. I thought it was pretty darn good! We enjoyed our margaritas as we made our way back to Italy to find a spot. When we got there I just couldn't believe how beautiful it was...so I took some pictures as the sun went down!

About 10 minutes before Illuminations started I decided to run...literally run...over to Germany to get a pretzel and beer. This was something we wanted to do earlier but weren't hungry enough at the time. I got back to our spot in time to hear the intro and to hear the narrator blow out the torches! That part always gives me chills! Everyone here knows how awesome Illuminations is...and it never disappoints. After the fireworks were over DW and I headed back to Future World and then to the front of the park to pick up our German wine we bought earlier. The bus trip to Riverside was a quick one and we were ready for some sleep! As awesome as Epcot is...it will drain you with all the walking you have to do.
Four days down...and two to go...

Looks like you got an awesome spot for Illuminations BIG! A "sissy" margarita?! Does that have 3 different flavors along with the different colors? Sounds tasty!!
I am certainly envious of the great photos you have taken with your phone's camera!
