Basically, OKW is made up of a few different roads where the buildings are located. Penninsular rd. is the main road of the 'town' of 'Conch Flats'.

If you don't want to use the main pool, because it is the biggest and the most crowded, other areas of the resort have smaller pools (with laundry facilities, ice machines). The pool near buildings 40-44 have a small snack bar called Turtle Shack.

If you need an elevator, go for bldings 62,63,64- because they are the only ones with them. These three bldgs are also close to Check-in.

As for which individual rooms have a great view of the water, or the LBV Golf Course, I can't help you.

Also, you're close to the Penninsular bus stop, which is the first bus stop on property. You'd be first to get on the bus as it makes its rounds through the resort.
Agreed. My wife and I stayed at OKW for the first time last May. We stayed in Building 26. We didn't have the best view, but it was really close to everything including a 10 second walk to the bus stop (which is nice after a full day of park-hopping).

While not being DVC members (yet), we had the best experience renting points. The best part of DVC in my opinion is the very short lines for the bus especially at the end of the night. Having stayed at a few of the moderate and value resorts, this was very very nice. Being that Port Orleans Riverside is one of my favorite resorts, mainly due to the boat ride from the resort to Downtown Disney, this option is fully available at OKW. I do miss the cafeteria that Riverside offered along with the maid service, but you take what you can get. Olivia's is decent and the maid does come once during the week. The only real complaint I had was the bugs late at night by the pool. It was probably just me since bugs are attracted to my skin like white on rice, but they are definitely there.

Overall, we loved our experience there, so much that we are currently planning our annual trip for OKW now for this May.

Best of luck!

We really liked OKW but did find all the different bus stops a little confusing, especially at night.

Buildings 23-26 are being refurbished right now. So heads up if you want those rooms anytime soon.
