according to the 2005 Birnbaum's guide (the most recent version I have at this time, unfortunately), the least crowded times are listed as:
-2nd week of January through the 1st week of February
-Week after Labor Day until the week before Thanksgiving
-Week after Thansgiving through the week before Christmas
now, according to the 2007 WD travel company book for WDW, prices listed in there say they're valid 1/01 - 2/14/07, 8/5 - 10/3/07, 11/25 - 12/19/07, which is pretty similar to the above, and what GhostHost said...

As far as Disneyland goes, it seems it's always busy. It's rather sad. My friends and I were debating not renewing out Annual passes because we can't stroll in, ride several rides, eat dinner, and then leave. Now all we have is time for dinner and one ride.

I preferred the hosted 2005/2006 "Happiest Celebration" DVD over the 2007 "Million Dreams" one... I've heard a lot of people complain about "corny" hosts (Erin, Luke, whatever their other names were) but I think they lent a nice air of "holycrapwe'reherwe'rehere"-type excitement to watching the DVD...

I wasn't a big fan of that group when I first saw them, but compared to the other VPVs, they really make it personal ny showing what people actually think, rather than just a narrator.spaulo wrote:but I think they lent a nice air of "holycrapwe'reherwe'rehere"-type excitement to watching the DVD...

When do the DVD's generally come out? I don't remember when I got mine (end of 06?) It's the one with Cinderella's Castle floating in the clouds on the cover. On the video are several different people saying how they've always wanted to be princesses or pirates. And, of course, they too are standing on clouds. On the bottom of the back cover are DVD-07 (c)Disney C7371285 10.06

I haven't been able to get a concrete answer as to when they are released. but, from what I can gather, the new hotel rates are released sometime in October, with the DVDs going out shortly thereafter. Over the last few years (starting with the 2005 version) have been more-or-less copies of the previous year (2006 being the same as 2005, 2008 the same as 2007) with just slight differences

I use to collect all the VPVs, but after having so many, decided to keep the ones from special years like the WDW 25th anniversary and 100 years celebration and such. I have the 2nd one they put out in 1993, but not the video for the first year. The first two years they sold them for $10.00 and they were entertaining. They used Disney Park music all through the videos. That's why I keep the '93, with the music and the interviews they do with the park guest, it's unbelievably entertaining and even emotional. The park guest are amazing with what they say and create a family feeling in the video like none since. And, with the park music from all the park attractions at the time, it's still entertaining after all these years. They also have the park guess sing a few seconds of the well known attraction songs during the interviews... it's is funny. I transferred it to DVD before the tape started to lose quality. That one's a keeper.

it is the same as last year's. I can confirm it. I order them every year so I can record the audio from them. there's no 2008 version as it's exactly the same as 2007. if anything, there are just subtle differencesSWHorn wrote:I received this email a couple of days ago:

I figured that was the case. But I went ahead and ordered one anyway. Oh well. It's nice to have an extra one on hand. I'm surprised how often someone from work goes to WDW with no attempt at planning. I've given out a few of my planning DVDs to co-workers when I found out they were going.js3901 wrote:it is the same as last year's. I can confirm it.
