They were standard sack lunches: a sammich (choice of roast beef or turkey), apple, cookie, chips, Coke or Sprite. We were asked ahead of time which sammich we wanted (yes, I know it's really spelled "sandwich"). I had the turkey... it was quite yummy.Amy wrote:What was in the sack lunches? Sounds like a good lunch. I just wondered since there seemed to be several colors of sacks...guess they were just being colorfulMousekedude wrote:They were standard sack lunches: a sammich (choice of roast beef or turkey), apple, cookie, chips, Coke or Sprite. Amy and F1gment's
Day 3 ~ the big meet-up!!
We were both up bright-eyed and bushy-tailed at 6 a.m. for the big day! The day was pretty cold to start with and made for a nice photo of the main pool at All-Star Music...this is the view looking at Symphony Hall which houses check-in, the food court, and is the gateway to the bus stops.

We managed to get some brekkie and to the MK just before 9 for the rope drop. Mom and I were the last people allowed through our turn style so I wasn't overly optimistic about seeing much
I kept an eye out for M-dude and Mouseoholic since they were the only two people I knew for sure what they looked like from the pictures they had posted from their last trip. There were so many people packed into that small area that they could have well been just a few people away and we wouldn't have seen them
Maybe the others will be able to tell where we were from the picture I took, and if we were anywhere close!

I was pleasantly surprised to find that all the action took place on the railroad platform so we could see pretty well.

After the park officially opened, we hung out a bit to see if we could find any Mayhem Marauders but we didn't see anyone that had a mischievous gleam in their eye so we decided to go ahead and go in. NaCler had been nice enough to email me the met-up schedule since I had forgotten the lovely treasure box the Mousekecouple had sent
That box contained our schedule, our nice Subsonic buttons they had made, and a few other things.
So, we knew that the next meet-up was at Casey's Corner at 11.
This was our first day at the MK in 10 years so we were excited to visit all our old favorite attractions. One of Mom's favorites is Buzz Lightyear so we headed there first. We won't mention who scored the highest since I had a digital camera in one hand, and my digital recorder in the other, but one of us definitely beat the socks off the other one
I struggle with the low light conditions in getting good photos in Buzz, but I think I got a few good shots this time...

Then we went over to the TTA Peoplemover. It was a bit of a struggle for Mom to get up the ramp and into the car so I asked if we could go around an extra time if there wasn't a line when we returned. The kindly CM indicated that all we had to do if we wanted to ride again was wave our hand in a circular motion to indicate we wanted another go-round. We did just that! On the second trip Mom asked me if I had remembered our surprise we had brought for the dinner that night.
Of course I had forgotten that in the hotel room
so we made our way to Casey's Corner, parked her there with instructions to look for our new friends even though she didn't know what they looked like
and I zipped back to the bus to get back to the hotel. M-dude called then but I couldn't hear him so I sadly hung up. Luckily he tried again just as I was getting back to our hotel room and I could hear him then. I told him what I was doing and described what Mom looked like and was wearing. You might think that saying someone has a big, fluffy down coat would help find someone rather quickly in Florida and you would be right on this particular occasion. M-dude told me they had found her and already had mindflipper with them. I'll have to let them fill you in on what they did because I wasn't there
but I did luck out and caught a bus back to the MK just as I went back to the bus stop! Met up with everyone in Frontierland where they had already acquired FP for BTMRR. NaCler and his Mom arrived shortly after that. The double boilers would be meeting us later. They all headed off to PoC while Mom and I opted to grab a quick bite at Peco's Bills. Mmmm, that was a good pulled pork sandwich!
The rest of the gang returned and we all rode BTMRR...well, not exactly all of us. Mom was still working on her half of the sandwich so NaCler's Mom kindly offered to sacrifice riding
and stay and keep Mom company.
Here is an excellent on-ride photo of those of us brave enough to ride...(L-R Mousekedude, mindflipper, NaCler, and Mouseoholic) Sorry you can't see M-dude's face very well, his hat sort of shadowed his face!
We made our way to Philharmagic where we got split up because Mom and I had to use the scooter lane. While we were waiting to enter the show I saw NaCler and his Mom come in. I hollared out as loud as I dared but couldn't get his attention. I decided to take a chance and yelled "mindflipper" which got several weird looks from the people around us, but it did get his attention so I could point out the NaCler's! That was a new attraction for Mom and me. It was a cute little show but not at all what I was expecting. I think I had this attraction mixed up with DLP's Animagique in my head.
M-dude and m-flipper headed off to get Splash Mountain FP while the rest of us headed over to Space Mountain. We visited a bit while waiting for them to return. Then we went over and enjoyed the Carousel of Progress. I like to sit on the end of a row so I had a chance to glance over occasionally and watch my family and new friends enjoy the show. I think a few of them snuck a micro-nap in here!
I'm proud to report they all dutifully sang along as we advanced through the years. After CoP, we headed back over to Splash Mountain. Amber offered to keep Mom company while M-dude, m-flipper and I used our FP to walk right on the attraction
There was a bit of jockeying but m-flipper ended up in front while M-dude and I were in the second seat. I looked down for one second and when I glanced back up realized that there was absolutely ...no ...one ...in ...front ...of ...me ...to ...break ...the ...splash
Thanks guys, way to stick together!
Somewhere up on chickipin hill, M-dude did something that earned him another entry in the subictionary. Luckily it did not involve mousketinkling, but he did mousekexpectorate
Sigh....sorry Mouseoholic, I didn't do a good good job watching him while I was in charge
Let me see if I can find that lovely photo that showed our descent...ahhh, here we go...

mindflipper swears he only ducked because he didn't get his video camera put away before the drop, Mousekedude swears he only briefly lifted his elbow to deflect some of the water. I just can't over the poor little girl's face sitting behind these two Mayhem Marauders
Mayhem?! Check!! Amy's conscious clear?! Check!!
Mouseoholic and I headed over to BTMRR to use up two fastpasses they had left. Then we all set off for the Jungle Cruise and the Tiki Room. I actually didn't mind the "Under New Management" show when we had last seen it, but after seeing the original Enchanted Tiki Room, restored to all it's glory in DL, I didn't enjoy this show as much
We all decided to split up here and meet back up for dinner, so I think this is a good point to pause this Day 3 report.

Interesting Day 3. I am thinking a lot will come from the mayhem on splash mountain.
BTW: M-dude I actually looked hard to find something wrong with that picture. I love that shot of SSE!

Finally!!!
I have just now been able to see all of your pictures. I have been reading along, but it's not the same.
At work (where I do all of my surfing...) they block all the photo sharing websites you guys use, but not Subsonic (thank God!).
So all of your pics show up as X's...
But I finally got my wifi at home fixed and got to see all the awesome pics.
Great job everyone!!!!!
M-dude, you really have an eye...or an aweseomk camera!
Not that anyone elses are bad--your are just incredible.
mindflipper: you really are a handsome dude
Now that I can see pics, I just might head over to the Disney at Night/Day thread!!
(PS No kids to hog my time today
)
Thanks for sharing everyone!

Re: Dec 2010: Mayhem Invades Disney World!!!
LOL! I have the similiar opinion on ETR! I was okay the first time I saw it, as it had been a long time since I had been in it. But after I saw some video of ETR at DLR and re-listened to the original audio, I find ETR: UNM to be incredibly awful! Also, noticing Iago closer this time, I realized he had red fur and not red feathers, which makes him look very strange. I wish they did both Iago and Zazu to the same scale as the other birds. They look bizarre as "freakish giants".Amy wrote: I actually didn't mind the "Under New Management" show when we had last seen it, but after seeing the original Enchanted Tiki Room, restored to all it's glory in DL, I didn't enjoy this show as much
Thanks for the compliment, H! Some said I looked a bit bone thin and pale in some of those photos.wewantsdaredhead wrote:mindflipper: you really are a handsome dude![]()

And sorry I haven't continued the report yet. It's been insane around here lately. If I can't get anything more posted by today, I promise I'll do some tomorrow. I'll have some time then. Stay tuned!
