Just wanted to post a quick thing on here. I have yet to read the story in its entirety but will do so tomorrow! I really hope the real report can only be half as interesting.

As for the subsonic run-ins, there were numerous! I got the privilege in being able to call up mindflipper himself! The story that Sandi posted is true! We did run into each other thanks to the rain. My family and I got caught in the rain coming from EPCOT heading back to the resort. I do believe it was on the 30th because it was on the night we ate at Teppan Edo and DHS had the EMH. We were staying at the Yacht Club and were by the Beach Club quiet pool when the rain started coming down again. We quickly ran for a random side door and used the Beach Club to cut through to the Yacht Club. I didn't hear my name at first, but luckily the parents trailing the rear did. It was a pleasure to meet sandi and her husband. There was one final run-in with board member packwingfn. We had exchanged information in an attempt to meet at a park. That didn't work out, but we did manage to meet on the Boardwalk somehow on our next to last night.

All in all it was amazing to be able to associate people with the screen names. I can only hope to meet and speak with more of you in the coming years!

BTW: Sandi, I had seen you were going away the same time and I too forgot to message you with the idea of meeting up. However, it managed to work itself out and we couldn't have planned it any better!

After about two hours of reading, I have finally caught up with every thread since leaving. Mindflipper, that story is a hysterical masterpiece that I don't think can ever be topped. You definitely have a VERY creative imagination! I would like to personally thank you for giving me a great read and some fun laughs. I definitely like how you found ways to incorporate characters that most of us would have never even thought of. The scariest part about this story is that there are a few events in there that are factual and a few events that you incorporated from the phone call. I must say that reading this really makes me understand why my iPhone almost got stolen at Newark and why my battery life was not as good in Disney as it has been since I've been back in NJ. Finally, I now understand why I have all the little aliens from Toy Story following me around wherever I go now telling me "You have saved our lives, we are eternally grateful!"

The real trip report is in the works. Unfortunately it will not be as entertaining and it will most likely only be 1/4 as long. I have never been a great writer so don't expect anything to this level. However, all the funny stories in the trip report you will read actually took place. I have gone ahead and changed my avatar. It will be a teaser and will be thoroughly explained in the report!

Len, reality is better than fiction any day, and we would rather hear your real adventures instead of the fictional ones I created. Most of the elements I used came from things posted here on subsonic, not from our phone conversation. You had asked that anything you told me not to be disclosed so I left out anything you and I discussed; however, anything Mark told me was fair game, so I included some of it - such as the fez from EPCOT (I had to edit that bit last minute to add it to the story). There's no requirement for it to be short, so please don't skimp on the details. Plus, you write better than you think, so we're all eager to read your trip report.

That's just too spooky of a coincidence, Mindflipper! You sure you don't have some kind of "connections?"

Nope, no idea. I did an image search at the time I wrote that to find a decent Yogi Bear pic to use in the CATASTROPHE trip report, but didn't find one I liked. I certainly didn't find any images from the Yogi Bear movie at the time, so the website has come up some time between Len's trip and now... :?

The movie has been planned for a while now. Long before your plan for the CATASTROPHE report. In fact I think it was in pre-production since before Len and his family even booked the trip.

Coincidence and good timing all there is to it.

And life's a little weird,
And when we find someone whose
Weirdness is compatible with ours,
We join up with them and fall in
Mutual weirdness and call it Love.”

That's true, but I don't think Warner Bros. hasn't released any of its marketing for it until recently...

Hmmmmmmmmm, having just seen this link on another thread:

Gee, it sounds familiar - like my fictional trip report of Len and Mark! I think I deserve royalties! Thieves! I've been robbed!

Nah, it can't be too similar. If it was your story, it would be higher on the production priority list! ;)
