I'm thinking of heading down to EPCOT on one of my midweek days off to do the Undiscovered Future World tour. Our APs expire in December and I won't have many more chances to do it. Don't know how Future Gal will react to the idea of me going without her, though.

WWDRH - Nice... keep her as excited about it as possible. The antici...pation is one of the best parts about a Disney trip. BTW, when you say prioritize attractions... is that making an itinerary for each park or just ranking each for fun?

Maybe. But we're meeting some friends there on the 16th, so if I get yet another retro shirt it'll probably be then. Of course, Future Gal would point out that I hardly need ANOTHER one, since I've got like six of them. And she would probably be right.

Actually, she just emailed me giving me her blessing (or is it her permission?) to go. Of course I'll be bringing her back a present. It'll also give me an opportunity to roam the park a little to take pictures and gather material from my blog, which she would find extremely boring and maybe even annoying.

Because she's quitting her job at the end of January, we won't be renewing our APs. However, my company lets us sell back any unused PTO at the end of the year, so I'm going to do that this year and next, and that should give us enough money to get APs again in 2012 and be on hand when the new Fantasyland opens. We'll also probably take another mega-trip early that year, also. We'd love to stay at the Contemporary again.

I can't wait! This surprise thing has been so odd. I have to keep calm at all times. I am usually a necrotic mess before any vacation, especially Disney!! I think the kids got a little suspicious the other day because I said that maybe we shouldn't talk about Disney so much...after all, if we can't go, why talk about it. The look on my son's face was so funny.

Sorry but I had to quote myself.....I laughed when I read my old post and realized that it was only a short hour or so later that I had my, not-so-calm, neurotic-mess, almost surprise-ruining, moment!! I will tell you about it when I get around to the trip report.

(um did I really say necrotic???? Note to self: No typing big words before a vacation.)

That sounds pretty cool. The opening of the new Fantasyland would be a great time to go. And bringing back a present for Future Gal should make things all better.

This time it was ranking all attractions at each park based on a "must do" ranking.
10 being a "If I dont do this--the whole trip will be was waste (so to speak)"
1 being a "No, thanks."

If you recall...my wife shocked the world by announcing that she had never been on POTC. So, I wanted to make sure we all did our MUST-DOs this time.
It was interesting where our tastes lined up...and didn't.
