OKW feels like home
I've had the pleasure of staying at OKW several times with my parents who are DVC members. While it is not bustling with characters and action, it is a great place to call "home" while vacationing. We've never had issues with cleanliness or the staff. Any needs are taken care of immediately.
When I think of OKW, I feel that it is a quiet and peaceful place to stay while visiting WDW. The 2 bedroom is a very nice size and they have their own bath so it feels very private for whoever is staying in those rooms. You can also sleep on the couch in the living room if needed. It has the basic kitchen ware that you need. The patio is nice for breakfast if it isn't too hot/summertime. A BIG PERK is that your car is easily accessible just steps from your room! I love it. It feels like home to me.

Schlitz ... and the miller Lite for the guests ... Ha! I'll take the Sam Adams or a Sierra these days.
Thanks for all the replies over the months. We sure are looking forward to the trip.
Sounds like the best plan is to drive to the parks from OKW. I found that to be true from Wilderness Lodge as well, get there in a fraction of the time ...

The 2BR is a really niced sized unit. You have a full sized living room, a round dining room table that seats 4, the laundry room, two bathrooms, and a nice sized balcony. You have a full sized kitchen and a nice buffet/serving area to the side of the dining room table that has two huge storage closets underneath.
OKW is definitely quiet and it doesn't have the energy/crowds of a place like Boardwalk. It is very spread out -- if you don't have a car and your villa is towards the end of property, you can opt to take the internal bus to Turtle Crawl/Olivia's. It's not more than a 15 - 20 minute walk though.
OKW is our home resort and we're always happy to go back.
