My dad always wears one but in addition to what we all walk in the day he also has early morning walks around our resort. I think just walking around the parks we probably do on average about 8 miles a day, we do park hop alot and also visit other resorts.

I need to wear one to see how much I do walk. Particularly since I usually make the whole Epcot loop (both halves) at least four times.

I have never used a pedometer at WDW or at home. I never count my steps. Im a person that cant sit still. I always have to be up and moven around doing something. If im sitn still its because something really has my interest or im very tired. :pluto:

I just received a pedometer as a workshop gift. It will be very interesting to see the steps and distance on a normal day at WDW. These seem to be of the cheaper variety, so we will keep a watch on it while riding Expedition Everest or Dinosaur.

I will update you all on my upcoming trip. I will be wearing the pedometer all day and will post my results at the end of the trip.

My wife wore a pedometer on one of our trips. She said we walked approximately 9 miles one day. (I'm not sure if she did that right. That seems high.)

My husband and I have wanted to do this on our last 3 trips, but always forget it. I think we are scared to know how far we walk though. We are definitely park warriors.

Yes! We used it on a trip in 2008 and posted our daily readings:

The average person walks 3-4 miles in a day. Based on that, 9 seems very attainable in a trip to the parks.

I should get a pedometer. That sounds like a fun thing to try! :)

Forgot mine on my last trip...but I would have loved to see the number of miles logged for the day we were at MK from 8am to 2:30am (magic hours!!)

Finally used one one a day-trip to WDW MK. It was on March 25, 2010. Final count was 10730 steps and 5.06 miles. Unfortunately, I spent most of the times in queues as the park was exceptionally overcrowded that day. I noticed the count stayed the same after I got off the rides and did not increase while I was on a ride.
