Thanks, Metalrage. Of course, it was made easier for me by the fact that the guide's choice of equipment and lures was exactly what I use the most at home, so I was in the groove from the get-go. I just wish we could have kept at least one of them. Bass is yummy!

Oh yeah, I love catching and eating fish! I always wanted to try the whole fishing part of Disney. I gotta break away from just doing the parks and downtown. I need to plan other stuff like fishing.

We had a great time. The bass seemed almost trained. The big old ones knew the drill. Get caught and jump in to the net. The young’ins would put up a fight. I was especially impressed by the wide of assortment of bait and live bait. Got to love those shiners. Also, we opted for the pontoon instead of the bass boat.

We forgot the camera M-Dude, so we did not get pics :( But your fish look a lot bigger than the ones we caught. I did pull in 11 in the time alloted.

Do they have a head on the pontoon boat? If so, I could talk my DW into going. She doe not like boats without a head.

Uh, oooohhhhh..... ooooops.... !

We were on a regular bass boat, definitely with no head, and I had a lot of coffee before we left, and.... well.......... IT WAS THE GUIDE'S FAULT!!!

Yeah, between myself and my father-in-law, we caught something like 15 or 16 fish total in two hours. And most of them were very nice sized, roughly the same as the ones in my pictures. One thing I noticed, B-dude, was that the pontoon boats only went to certain areas, whereas the bass boat went all over the place to all kinds of secluded little spots. Maybe it's because they figure anyone going bass fishing on a pontoon boat is a beginner, or is not comfortable on a "real" boat, or something. I don't know. But I will definitely say that next time you should go on a bass boat.

Maybe, once the guide found out we were from Indiana, he started to take us all over the place. He figured Indiana = Farm folk I guess. I think next time we will take the Bass boat. Are they comfortable? Thats why we opted for the pontoon, we could spread out.

No, Jacca. I Mouseketinkled.

B-dude, the bass boat is comfortable if there's only one or two of you, plus the guide. But if there are more, then the pontoon is the only way to go because of the space.

Something to consider, too, is that the bass boat is more maneuverable around piers and other structure, especially with the trolling motor. So you can get to more choice spots that the pontoon can't get to. Well, at least you can work your way around certain areas more easily, and you can cruise slowly along a shoreline using the trolling motor. That's actually how we caught the majority of our fish. We worked our way along a whole length of rocky shoreline with the trolling motor, instead of just anchoring in one spot for a while and then having to fire up the engine and move somewhere else. I don't think the pontoons were equipped with those.
