Yeah they're using older footage. During a portion where they show epcot from the yeacht and beach club you can also see Horizons. In another video it also shows UoE with it's original "heat" colors too. I had gotten my hopes up that wand was down too.

Well, we can always hope that one day it will just magically disappear. After all, in Disneyland they returned Small World to its original coloration for the 50th anniversary. Maybe they'll return Spaceship Earth to its original look for Epcot's 25th?

Quick side note: Love the Christmas hat, Cheshire. It made me laugh.

Disappear, disappear! And you thought the trolls were actually talking about you...

Actually I have heard rumors of the hand's quiet demise. Nothing real strong but they did come from folks said to be "in the know" so maybe, just maybe, there is something to it... We can always hope, if nothing else their use of old stock footage seems to be admitting that it looks ugly. Most wouldn't notice that Horizons was still there or UofE was a different color [or that they are using the DL monorail in a couple shots] but this is pretty obvious... Hmm....

I can't wait to get place my order. I haven't ordered it yet because it's a long time until the next year. I guess I'm... teasing myself. Gonna make myself wait a while before I place my order in.

Quick question, how many of you rewatch your old Disney Planning DVD's?

I got mine this week. I like how they have seperated interests into different sections: adults, kids, etc.

They got rid of the cheesy guide people? Well for the Happiest Celebration on Earth one the lead girl was kindof cute so I guess that was okay  but she, and that kid that was the "THRILL!" kid were annoying as heck. Same with the girl on resort tv. The adult lazy guy was slightly funny at time but largely just ridiculous and annoying as well. Who goes to the theme parks to nap on park benches? People should be excited about WDW but probably not to the point the thrill kid was and definitly more than the relaxation guy. I wonder if there were any teens out there who actually bought "YEA BIG THUNDER MOUNTAIN IS GOING TO BE AN INCREDIBLE THRILL!!!!!!!!!!!!! I HOPE I DON'T HAVE A HEART ATTACK OUT OF THE FEAR OF THAT CRAZY RIDE AND THROW UP EVERYWHERE!!" that they were obviously trying to sell. BTMR is a fun, family-thrill ride, but I don't think anyone would really consider it to be some super fast, scary coaster that only the bravest should attempt.... Likewise, how many parents really thought that they could find places to sleep in the parks after paying out 70+ to get in or would even want to? Sorry for the rant I just really despised the whole specialized tour guide bits; the only one who wasn't too awful was the woman for the children's favorites - she actually sounded human and not just some 5th string actor haming it up while reciting a stale script.

Crap, I requested one months ago and still have not seen it. Not that I really need it but hey, I can't get enough Disney goodness!

I don't really like the "year of a million dreams" vacation planning video... They seem to avoid getting too specific about rides and attractions and rarely mention anything by name.

Does anyone know when the either DL or DW generally have the lowest attendance?

I believe that overall September is the slowest month. Basically, non-summer months and non-holiday weeks or weekends are the best time to go. The busiest times are the weeks of and weeks prior to Christmas, Thanksgiving, July 4th and Spring break. Holiday Mondays where people can make a long weekend of it are also busy. I love going in January (after the 1st), February, October and November (before Thanksgiving). In October you can enjoy the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party which can draw some crowds during an otherwise slower time. Also, the International Food and Wine Festival at Epcot is a great event going on during that time. Just to mention September again, I have never been in that month but I hear that it is the least busy time because school is back in for most kids and it's just before the busy holiday months of Thanksgiving and Christmas. I really think that October is my favorite time to go although it's not the least crowded.
