I can do that. They're not the real interesting ones, cause my wife hasn't dumped them all to my hard drive (I think she took something like two gigs worth... :) ). But here's the ones from my camera.

Pic of the dock the day we left.

From the veranda on the day we left. Yes, it was rainy. Yes, it was cold. But thankfully, just that day. :)

Image
Goofy playing air hockey. That little kid WHIPPED him. Poor Goofy. It's not easy seeing through a mouth hole.

Image
Pirate In The Caribbean deck party, along with the new Dumbotron; the best freakin' invention for a cruise EVER. Don't agree? Wait until you watch Pirates of the Caribbean on it at eleven clock at night.

Image
Another Dumbotron picture.

Image
Another shot from the veranda. This one's of Castaway Cay.

If you want to see anything specific, let me know. I'm sure I've got a picture of everything, everywhere, pretty much at any time of the day. My wife's camera's button was stuck pressed down, I think.

OMG, what a fabulous shot of Castaway Cay. That would make an awesome desktop. I love that one in port, too. Were you fairly far aft? I'm trying to get a handle on where your stateroom was. Great location. I love the dumbotron, too, it's amazing.

And hey, don't pick on your wife's picture taking! I take upwards of 500 shots a day, over 1,000 somedays. They are all needed!!!!

Thank you for sharing!

Glad you like them! :)

We were actually 7th floor midship (7500's), which was really probably the most perfect location on the entire cruise. Two floors up and you're in the middle of the deck, and everything else is just two or three floors down. It worked out great because those elevators are almost as slow as the tourists getting on them. Besides, the steps are the only thing that helped keep the cheesecake in check. :)

And feel free to let me know if you actually want one for your desktop. I'll gladly email it out to you with your size of choice. It's probably the best one I have of Castaway Cay, but I have probably fifty or so just from the veranda, and they cover every section of the island from zoomed all the way in to zoomed all the way out. Just let me know if there's another area that interests you and I'll see what I can do! :)

Does anyone know if the Disney Cruise Line is going to be on the West Coast anytime soon again? We tried for ages to get tickets, but we never got them. :(

Wow, I love those pictures! Great job!

Does anyone know if it gets really crowded on the ship? I mean, it looks as if people are squished!

Not at all! I mean, there's moments... Like during the princess meet and greet. Even though it's now spread out across the ship, it's still pretty hectic because everyone's trying to get autographs. But that's still held in check by a good (yet very patient) staff and the use of queues. And, of course, the pools and deck parties, which can get pretty crowded. But the deck typically isn't bad at all, and I very rarely felt bumped around. There's so much going on at every part of the ship that it manages to spread the crowds quite well. You might have to fight to get an elevator if you're lazy, though! :D

Oh, and if you're talking about the Pirate Party picture, it's just that everyone crowds the stage to get up close. There's plenty of room at the back that you can't see! :)

Pictures...

Wow! Those pictures are great. I am amazed at the similarities between the Magic and the Wonder. The Wonder doesn't have that big viewscreen but other than that they look very much the same.

Also, I agree about the food. It was very good just about everywhere (the Cheeseburgers at Pluto's Doghouse leave a lot to be desired) but Palo is incredible and I strongly recommend that anyone taking a Disney Cruise make it a point to spend the few extra bucks to reserve a night there. It was beyond words.

About Hercules - an incredible show! I was amazed at the quality of the live performances on board. You would never know you were on a ship! We never missed a night!

I have a ton of pics I could post but it looks like you need to post them online somewhere and then provide a URL to it?

Yeah, the only difference is in esthetics, really. I definitely missed Triton's theming over Lumiere's, but everything else remains pretty much the same from what I remember.

As for the pics, I have a Xanga account and I just link directly from there. But I think you can do it for free from Flickr.com. Or maybe Photobucket.

I also use Smugmug - I have a bazillion hits (mickeymac.smugmug.com) but don't run into any bandwidth issues on the free account. I'm at 15% useage so far this month.

No plans at this time, but possible rumors of a third ship being built that might be stationed out there. The rumors for 2007 are for a Mediterranean cruise. I've got many Guests hoping for that one. Heck, I'm hoping for that one! :D The only thing I know I would miss is a stop at Castaway Cay. To me, that is Utopia.

Springheeled, I would love to take you up on that offer. Do you have a link to your Xanga account and I can poke through them?

Actually, I set all my pictures to private for linking purposes because I don't want most of my readers to know where I'm from (I got several requests from people to stay at my place when they were on vacation, and it got really annoying.). :) And even then I regularly pull the old ones off to make space for blog pictures. But if you want to see any of them, I can still upload and link them to a separate post here if want! I'm all about showing pictures to the group here, since it's a much cozier, less bonkers group of people. :D

Thanks for the photos Springheeled! Oh how I wish I was on Castaway Cay today. I'm booked on the DVC Member Cruise in October, and can't wait to get back there. I agree on your cabin location being the best place on the ship. I had a similar room last year and loved it. I was right by the steps and it was great getting to where I wanted to go fast.

One more for the interested. It's the award you get for getting all the questions correct in the Who Wants To Be A Mouseketeer game on the cruise. You automatically get a pin if you get your number called, and then there isn't any other prizes until you get the last question correct. And, as a hint, take up a kid with you and you'll get a bonus Mouseketeer pin for him/her, too! That way, your spouse can steal it for his or her lanyard. :D
