Good luck!

One week!!
My son threw me an interesting curve ball this morning. I told him that he needs a haircut. My husband always cuts his hair but we have been talking about taking him to a barber shop. So when I said to him today that he needs a haircut he said that we should fly down to Disney so he can go to the Harmony Barber Shop!! He was just kidding of course because he has no idea that we are going. Now the reason he has never gone to a barber shop here at home is because he is terrified. So my problem is, do I take a chance that he will panic and not let them cut his hair and then have bad hair all vacation? Hey that could be how we tell the kids next Sunday morning...."Mom where are we going?" "To get the Ian's hair cut." :mickey:

Exciting! Is this the older son or younger son that needs a haircut? I would go ahead and wait for his haircut and have it done at Disney. He will be so excited to be there he probably won't have the anxiety he would have at home. And then you will be able to take him to the barbershop at home too!

Well, I just got off the phone with Disney reservations. No problem to tack on 2 days. The free dining plan was extended as well. The only thing we have to do is add on the additional park ticket days once we get there since they only can go up to a 10 day ticket online or over the phone. Does anyone know how they base the charges for additional days? The customer service CM told me they don't have access to extended ticket prices and he also said the information is not available online either. I would like to have some idea going in so I can decide if it would be smarter to get an annual passport and hope we can get back within a year's time frame!

Not sure about the extended ticket prices but might the benefits of being a passholder make up for the price?

I looked online to see what the passholder benefits are but didn't see anything that was too exciting. Free parking doesn't help when we stay at the resorts and use the free transportation. The merchandise discounts seem similar to what the Disney Visa offers. Unless I am missing something I don't see the benefits being a big selling point. I looked in 2 spots today and found 2 different prices for a regular annual pass too ~ $499 and $579-ish. I'm guessing the higher price is probably the correct one :(

Yikes I guess I hadn't checked the prices since I had my annual about two years ago. I was mostly thinking about the room discounts that they sometimes offer to passholders.

Yeah ~ I was surprised too! I'm sure when we last had an AP it was under $300...inflation...sigh :(

Tomorrow!
I can't wait! This surprise thing has been so odd. I have to keep calm at all times. I am usually a necrotic mess before any vacation, especially Disney!! I think the kids got a little suspicious the other day because I said that maybe we shouldn't talk about Disney so much...after all, if we can't go, why talk about it. The look on my son's face was so funny.

We might possibly be going to EPCOT with some friends on Saturday, Oct. 16. I've decided the only way that park is ever gonna get fixed is if I become Supreme Dictator-For-Life.
