Don't you get the grandparents-to-be bugging you about it between now and date your child is born?

I think it's nice to keep it a secret for a while. Keeps everyone guessing. Mostly unrelated, but not totally, a friend of a friend took her kids on a mystery trip to Indy. She told them how far they were going, and that's it. They guessed the city, but didn't know what they were doing when they got here (dolphin encounter at the zoo!). So they liked sort of knowing, but not totally knowing.

See? My tangent had a point there just now.

And... I have decided that from now on, all shower and new baby gifts I give are going to be Disney gift cards. ESPECIALLY if I know the parents like Disney.

the grandparents are all being very well behaved. My mom keeps joking that she wants the baby to have her exact name no matter what it is. I have informed her that my son ro daughter will not be named Maureen, lol

My grandmother FORBADE her grandkids from naming any children after her. (Her name was Millicent Valeria. "Don't you dare give an adorable little baby girl such an atrocious name!") She's been gone over 20 years now, and the banned name is being passed to her great-grandchildren, lest she get real good at aiming lightning bolts from Heaven.

(And she would totally do it, too!)

In our family, we're all named after each other in some way. My middle name, Lyn, is my mom's middle name and comes from my great grandma, Bertha Evelyn (thank goodness the name Bertha wasn't used). My sister is named for my grandma. My brother for my dad. Und so weiter. LOL at my German...

I'm sorry if that came across as a not so uplifting comment. It wasn't meant to be at all...and I would hope that Soarin08 would know exactly what I was referring to. It was supposed to bring a smile to her face...or at least a roll in her eye

Hope all is well with you and that work is still as exciting now as it was on the first day!

I just saw via a blogpost on twitter that the registration for the 2013 WDW marathon weekend opened today. I guess this is going to the the 20th anniversary of the WDW marathon? I would love to sign up for the 5K and commit to a trip in January, but I can't right now. We will have to wait a little bit to see if we can pull it off or not.

Anyone else planning on going for the marathon weekend??? Could we possibly see a "part trois"???
