Anyone have any good ideas of a good way I can identify my suitcase so I don't lose it in baggage claim? I'm paranoid... in all honesty. So I'm being serious here.
Get a bright colored ribbon and knot it around one of the handles or zipper pulls. That makes it easy to spot as it rolls around the carousel. Plus stand close to where the bags are coming out so no one can snatch it off by accident.
I do this too...or sometimes I get a piece of Disney ribbon. Another idea (if you are willing to do this anyway) is to paint little mickey silhouettes on your suitcase. My aunt paints and she painted flowers on all of her luggage. No one will mistake it for theirs. I like the idea of Disney-fying my luggage since we have some plain black suitcases that blend in with everything.
Oh, I like the idea of painting Mickey faces on my luggage. Does she just use fabric paint? Or something else specific?

Broke the news to my mom. She didn't freak. I can move forward peacefully now.
That is nice that they know. That way they can put their souvenir orders in ;)

I think all that is going to be requested of me from my family is one thing- when my little brother finds out, he's going to expect me to go meet Phineas and Ferb for him at DHS. Which I already planned because I'm a big geek like that.

Just make sure Candice isn't anywhere around. You know what a tattle-tale that girl is!

I've never seen Phineas and Ferb as I don't have cable, but my piano family that is going to DL this Sunday is mad for them. The girls are actually more excited to meet P & F than they are the Princesses  :?

Get on Youtube if you ever have a chance and watch it. I don't like the new Disney Channel but P&F is absolutely brilliant as far as kids' cartoons go. I actually started watching it first because we always had it on in the breakroom at Saratoga... and then my brother got hooked. He has P&F EVERYTHING in his room, so if I don't get photos, I guarantee you he WILL chew me out on the phone in his little Southern drawl... it's so cute!

Agreed. The ribbon is perfect!!! :D

I believe she just used regular acrylic paint...but I'm not sure what she did to "seal" it. I would imagine the paint would come off too quickly on its own.

Yes Amy, check it out. We just rolled our eyes at P&F when it first came out and we didn't pay much attention to it. One day while at the in-laws house (where Disney channel is king), P&F came on and our nieces were totally enthralled with it. We watched the episode and found ourselves laughing almost as much as the girls. Now we watch it on our own if it happens to be on. I even got hubby a Perry the Platypus shirt... Definitely one of the best cartoons out there these days (since they don't make 'em like they used to... ;) ) IMHO. It doesn't help that our 5 yo niece's name matches one of the characters on the show either...she's known for walking up to us and asking "whatcha doin'?"....it's so cute!

Day after tomorrow!!

Tomorrow will be insane. I have class, final, class, final, class, final... then I leave at 4.30pm to go to Salt Lake THEN I have to wait 8 hours for it to be time for my flight.... someone remind me to print my boarding pass in the morning. Since I am flying Southwest and opted for Early Bird Check-In, I can get my boarding pass 24 hours in advance AND board the plane ahead of everyone else. And seeing as Southwest doesn't assign seats... I can get one by the window.

When you go to bed, write "boarding pass" on a sticky note and attach it to your forehead. That way, when you get up in the morning, it will be first thing you see when you look in the mirror...

That would work, except I am terribly restless at night so it would likely come off, and then I'd have to write it on the sticky note backwards so I could tell what the crap I was reading when I looked in the mirror.

Ummm, perhaps you could simply post the note on the mirror so you see it when you brush your teeth? Leave it to you two to make it more difficult ;)

Yeah, your methodology makes more sense... I doubt I'll forget anyway. And even if I do I can get it tomorrow night at the airport. It's just more convenient to have it printed and ready, at least for me.
