Trip Report DisneyLand June 2008
Summary
We have been to WDW many times and have read many things about DisneyLand good and bad. Our Final impression it was well worth the long flight to see something that are superior to WDW. There are some things we like much better at DL over WDW but this may have to do with our children that grow tired of the excess walking. DL is so compact that you can get to everything in both parks with relative ease. We were there for the opening on the Toy Story ride and I have never seen a line that long in my life. By the end of the tripit had died down and we got on it a couple times.. Very impressive if this the future of rides the holodeck is coming sooner then you may think. The one thing that concerned me that the CM may loose a foot it they are not careful the cars slide over a elevated ramp that has little clearance and the cars move faster that I have ever see a car move on any ride on any Disney dark ride.
Things we liked
1. Dining was much simpler at DL you could get a good meal without having to book it years in advance. We ate at our hotel Californian once at “the story tellersâ€

Thanks for the report. It really helps to draw the comparison between the two parks. The resort key to get into the pool is nothing new in WDW. They have that at the Yacht/Beach and I have seen it sometimes at the Boardwalk.
BTW: Welcome to the boards!
