Trip Report 8/2-8/9

Wednesday August 9th : Magic Kingdom

Well today was my last day of our long trip and I was starting to feel it. I hate the last day because you only have a half day and you know that you have to go back to the real world. I always end my vacation at the Magic Kingdom since it is so magical. After packing up and eating an early breakfast at Boatwrights, I made my way to the Magic Kingdom on my own as the others went to MGM. I didn't bring my camera today so there are no pictures for the day.

I ran right to Space Mountain to grab a fastpass but some lady gave me an extra fastpass that was available right now (10:30) so I got lucky that I didnt have to wait. I got to ride in the backrow again which is the best part of the ride. Then I did TTA and Buzz again then made my way to Carousel of Progress. It was real funny and sad during the last scene as the audio wasn't working for the Father, Son and the Dog. Everyone else was working fine but whenever the others would be ready to talk, nothing would come out. I started yelling out the lines because I know them too well but it was a full crowd so I felt bad.

After saying my goodbyes to Tomorrowland, I strolled through Fantasyland and made my way on the Haunted Mansion one more time. It was neat, I noticed during a stoppage on how the "hand over the clock" works. I grabbed a fastpass for Splash Mountain so I took a break and used up all of my quarters from the vacation and I had $5.00 worth and bought my Turkey Leg and sat on one of the Rocking Chairs in Liberty Square. I had fun people watchin while trying to eat my salty turkey leg. By the time I finished, it was time to go on Splash Mountain. Man do I love that ride. Then I concluded my vacation by going on Pirates of the Caribbean and noticed some more of the changes. Then I walked real slow around Adventureland as I took everything in and walked underneith the castle and just soaked everything in. I still had time to kill before I had to be back at the hotel so I waited until at least 3:00 so I could see the parade. I strolled around most of the Main Street shops and even found a nice little theater showing old school disney cartoons that NOONE else was in the building. I had a whole theater to myself lol. Then I caught the parade from underneith the Train Station then made my way back to the hotel. It figures that the bus took FOREVER to come, just to make it hurt me even more waiting for the darn bus.

And guess what? I'm going back to Disney in January with Marylou
