At this point, Figment would probably trade with you. She is so excited to have all three of us kids together for the first time in several years, but she is so stressed out at this point. I can't tell you how many times I've heard, I wish I would have just said I wanted to go to Disney World. She perked up when we listed to the Haunted Mansion Holiday ride through on our car trip yesterday though. She asked me if that was at DL and I assured her it was. That put a big grin on her face. Jack is one of her favorites Thanks to whoever requested that one yesterday about 11:15, it was perfect timing

I can totally understand where F1gment is coming from! We've kicked around the idea of going to Disneyland often, and in my head I always come back to "but at WDW..." and feel like we should just plan a trip to Florida instead of spending almost as much money to go to California. I want to see DLR, just not sure I want to deal with LA congestion and traffic. And, I feel like I would miss seeing Epcot stuff after seeing very similar Magic Kingdom stuff.

I think a big part of it is just not being as familiar with the surroundings too. She is comfortable at WDW, she knows her way around, she knows what to expect out of the hotel, attractions, food, etc. With my brother making a lot of the arrangements, there are too many unknown factors for her to feel super comfortable. I am actually pretty relaxed because I haven't had to deal with the details! And my brother is quite open to change, so if we get there and don't care for where we are staying, he is open to changing accommodations. Hopefully there are places closer to the park that have vacancies if we want to do that, but...again, on my part, at least for the moment, I am all "Hakuna Matata"

Back! Back! If you need to run for safety, just throw a Dole Whip out there and while all the WDW Nuts fight for it you can safely escape...

Thanks for the warm welcome! When I first started reading the forums I had no idea what a Dole Whip was and had to wiki it. It's now on the "must do" list for this trip. Even though it'll probably be cold out and not ice cream weather. Is it true they are available at the Polynesian resort as well? Enjoying it somewhere inside might be preferable to outside depending on the temperature.

Yes, the infamous Dole Whip is available at Captain Cook's at the Poly. The best thing about the DW there is they are self serve so you can make yourself a little bigger one if you would like I personalyl don't care for them. I tried one for the first time a few years ago with a great group of folks from the forum here. (That's our group photo there down to the left! Mousekedude even upped the ante by having rum available, but it still wasn't my thing. You'll have to let us know what you think. We tried them when it was cold too

OMG, Dole Whip...you're making my mouth water with speak of them!!!! I will and have eaten a DW even in the cold weather we've experienced at WDW! Never too cold for one of these delicious treats!!!! I plan to pack in as many DWs as possible on this upcoming trip and do my dance!
