Thanks Lovesdisney44! I am definitely leaning towards getting the AP. I will have at least 12 days in the parks. I never take more than a 1/2 day of rest . In May, I am taking my first solo trip and I want to do a few of the behind the magic tours. What a great excuse it would be to go again in early 2007!

Most definitely get an AP then. It seems cost-effective in your case. And, as lovesdisney44 already mentioned you get discounts on merchandise and food as well.

But one thing about having an AP is that you're really tempted to renew or even upgrade when it's close to the expiration date.

My Disneyland AP expires in a month, and I'm still debating whether or not to renew. Although I'm leaning toward renewing since I'll probably take more trips in the summer..maybe.

I live in NJ and just renewed mine the other day!

We go at least once if not twice a year. So we always cover our AP. If you go for a long enough time its pays to get the AP. I suggest looking at the ticket rates and doing the math.

Here's the link to WDW tickets:

Don't forget that you can also save a substancial amount on room reservations. Some times the discounts can pay for your AP.

Yes, for the first time I just purchased an AP pass. Just booked a solo trip in May, we have a big family trip in October or November and will return next May for an adult only trip. Thought it was definitely worth it, plus hopefully I can get room discounts for each trip.

It will mostlikely be my first and last AP!

You should, if you hit them right as they open. You can only get three rooms under the AP discount for your family trip, however. Not sure how many you are looking for. it's also MUCH easier to set up your gathering now, then roll the rooms over when the AP rates are released. It takes forever and a day to set up a Grand Gathering, and you don't want to be doing that on the morning codes are released, just trust me.

Also look into the Disney Dining Experience card - for a minimal membership, it's worth it's weight in gold!

Since I moved here ten years ago I've gotten a good workout going to WDW twice a month. It was expensive but boy it is worth it to have it. :D

I am trying to find info on the AP discounts to see if it would actually be worth it. We will actually need 2 moderate hotels rooms in November, 2006 and only 1 in May. what do you think?
13 days is probably worth even if there are no AP discounts. We went for 9 days in March and plan on going again for 3 or 4 towards the end of the year. We saved more than enough on the Fort Wilderness Cabin to justify the AP's even if we don't use them again....

Yes, I do. I went to WDW 5 times in the past year, a record for me. I still can't believe how lucky I was.

I got a AP for DLR just this past Feburary for the first time there. I will probably be returning in august (not my idea to go in the heat). I am thinking about it for WDW aswell, since I go for 10 days every year and the discounts on the rooms eating and park entry will be good.

Does anyone with one of the socal passes to DLR remember what was needed to buy one? Because I'm most likely goin to go to a college in the socal area (I'm from norcal) and would want a socal ap.

I think it's based on ZipCode on a California Driver's License. Personally, I would never get one of these. There are so many blockout dates it's redicilous. Just go for the regular one.

i have a premiumAP for DLR. I live far away but my mom works for the airlines so i mooch tickets from her and make it, worth it to go every three months or so. distance is not going to keep me away from disneyland. Just knowing that if i some how end up in SoCal i can walk right into the park makes me happy :D

Yeah, the passes below the southern california select become a hassle when you are trying to find dates, but the premium's price is through the roof!
Best go with Deluxe, best bang for the buck only some saturdays and christmas week blocked off with a few exeptions.

We get an AP for WDW and try to get two trips in the 12 month period. We got an AP for Paris last year because for some weird reason that worked out cheaper than buying a 2 day pass!
