Nope. You check in bags at the departure station and claim them yourself when you arrive.

Bummer ~ although at least you can check them so you don't have to lug stuff around with you on the train

Not a problem for me...I just check in one bag for the baggage car, and use my old Magic Kingdom Club tote bag for a carry-on.

Due to some very unforeseen (and terribly sad) circumstances, it is almost positive that our yearly trips to Disney are on hiatus.. possibly permanently.

I hope things will be looking up for you all soon!

Hey I posted this elsewhere but wanted to post this here to you as well..


It has taken me a while to be able to write this.. its still hard.. I have posted a bit about a group of people we to go Disney with every year.. well the leader of the group and the guy who got us to love Disney as much as we do.. he passed away.. and now I have no idea if we will be able to go to Disney without thinking of him and crying. I have no idea if we will go back and if we do, when. Our 10 year anniversary is about a year from now and I want to go.. but neither of us are sure if we are strong enough to do it.


Sorry.. I don't mean to bring this down, but I just wanted to writ that.. I hope you all don't mind.. the mods can erase if if they wish.

That's terrible! I totally understand your reluctance. When a loss is so painful and fresh, you want to do everything to avoid perpetuating that pain. I am hopeful that your happy memories will override the negative feelings so you will one day return to Disney. It would be a great way to honor his memory, don't ya think?

That is along the lines of what I was thinking. Hopefully with a little time, you will be able to remember more of the happy times, and maybe a trip in a year or so to Disney to laugh and cry and remember would be a helpful healing process ~ remember we are here for you
