Amy, I will always continue to totally adore the icons you manage to find...

Speaking of trip reports... let's get on with this!!!

Saturday, January 7th... the day of the official meet-up!!!

I regret to say that I can’t remember everything, so I have to resort to posting pictures of what I do remember.
We met up with a bunch of our M.M.’s and had lunch at Biergarten. Here we all are at our table. Naturally, in keeping with tradition, Mindflipper remains the “man of mystery.” In this picture we have from left to right: Mindflipper, Soarin08, me (mousekedude), Mouseoholic, Yodiwan1, Chernobog40, and MmeLeota.
Image

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, especially with the entertaiment that was provided. For example, these guys:

Afterwards, we did the Beverly challenge at Club Cool. I've already posted pictures of that, so you can scroll back through the thread for more info. 8-)

After that, we wandered around doing various things, and during this time Mouseoholic swallowed the Kool-aid and bought a Duffy. She dressed him up in a Soarin' outfit to begin with. Here's a pic of that:
Image

I can't remember how the rest of the day went, but later that evening is when the real fun began. We met up with all our fellow M.M's at the Poly! From left to right, we have Cbog40, MmeLeota, cccmouse, Soarin08, Mouseoholic and me, wewantsdaredhead, Yodiwan1, Mindflipper, and NaCler:
Image

The first order of business, of course, was to go to Captain Cooks and get our Dole Whips. We naturally took over the place, and in this pic I was tempted to crop out this random woman on the right, but her expression is priceless: "who are these people?!"
Image

Mouseoholic's expression here pretty much sums up the mood for all of us. Oh, yeah! Yummers!

Here we are, enjoying our rum-spiked Dole Whips:

...and then getting ready for Wishes to start. It was cold and humid, so we had to dry off the chaise lounges and get an area set up for ourselves:

Here we are, enjoying Wishes:

One of the really cool aspects of this meet-up is that Madeye and his sweetie showed up. If you'll recall, they just barely missed us last year. So this time we were really happy that they were able to make it. They were a little late, however, so they weren't able to get into the first group shot. But later we had them pose in the same location, with the intent that we would "photoshop" them into the group pic when we got home. Well, Mousoholic had the best of intentions to do that, but has had an unbelievably rough time of it since we got back due to health issues and so forth... so the bottom line is that we weren't able to photoshop them into the group pic. But I didn't want to make everyone wait forever, so here's the pic of them that we meant to combine with the group shot:

Well, that's about it for the big meet-up. It was actually way more fun than what I've posted here, but I'm having major memory problems these days, so if anyone else wants to jump in here and post some more details it would be much appreciated.

Stay tuned for more... and hopefully for some additional details by others who were there (yodiwan..? WWDRH..? Mindflipper..?). :D

You actually had way more pics of the actual meet up than we have...we got so caught up in talking with everyone and taking pics of the fireworks, that we didn't think to take many of the meet up itself...and I think someone put more rum in my DW than I had originally put in. ;) (doesn't help that the DW was 2/3 gone by the time we got outside  )
Fabulous pics! With some luck (and cooperation from photobucket) hopefully I will have the next day ready to post.

Good luck with the job search yodiwan! :D Hopefully someone will give you the chance to make some dreams come true! :D

Mousekedude, I did a quick photoshop...will this do? The angles are different from the 2 photos so I tried my best.

Love the fireworks shots M-dude. Still feel so sad that we weren't there for the meet up. :( I'm debating if I sould post my trip report here since we technically did not make it to the meet up?!

Woooooow, that looks like fun!! Love the pictures!! Also, Soarin08, you could be me in a few years when I wear my glasses  Um, hate to be the awkward one who wasn't there/is underage here, but what exactly IS a dole whip??

What's this?? A trip report here?? I almost forgot it was a trip report thread with all the off-topic chatting we've been doing ;)
Love the group photos ~ nice job on the photoshop dichuy ~ that's awesome!
That's a great shot of the fireworks with the electrical water pageant going on M-dude :D You guys really lucked out! And you must have been running more on schedule this year to actually have time to not only find chairs, but dry them off and then watch Wishes while lounging!
I'm so sad (and I'm sure F1gment is too) that we missed this meet-up :( But the pictures are the next best thing to being there, so thanks for sharing :D
Oh, and I'm sure that random lady's expression was one of, "Oh crud, I hope these mayhem marauders don't eat all the Dole Whip

Oh my, step back and be afraid, be very afraid!
Just kidding  I hadn't had a Dole Whip before our trip to the original Mayhem Marauder's meet-up. It is a frozen, pineappley soft serve. You can get it with pineapple juice too, sort of like a float. It's non-alcoholic...until you add the smuggled rum  It's so popular around these parts that it even has it's own little dance, done by our very own boilerbabe! You'll have to scroll back through all those hijacked pages ;) and you'll see some photos and a video or two of her doing the Dole Whip dance :D

You did a great job there, dichuy! You should have added yourself as well!

Mousekedude: I actually already posted my synopsis of that Saturday some time ago, so there's not much more I can add to it now... :mickey:

Awesome job dichuy! :D

DOM, yes, the Dole Whip (aka DW) is a very popular treat around these parts is right! (though I must admit, the DW we used to get at DLR was smoother in texture than the WDW DW :? but it still tasted fabulous!!!)
Hopefully, we will be having some DW very very soon...but not from WDW. From the home of Dole itself...it won't quite be the same, but I'm sure it will be equally tasty! :D

Photobucket is being a pain again, but I'm trying my hardest to get these pictures resized/cropped so they will be legal here...

Did you order some of the mix? Let us know how it is if you did. I didn't much care for it, but I know a few DW addicts aficionados on here who would be interested!
Bummer about photobucket. Think that answers my plan of trying to upload some photos to continue my trip report tonight
