We want a good trip report with plenty of pics! Also, can you and NaCler do the Beverly taste-off when you meet up? We didn't get to last year, and though it's on the agenda for January, it seems that y'all probably won't be there for it then.

Amy we are going to miss you! At least we will get a good trip report to read before we leave. I just love your detailed reporting.

Well....I suppose we might go and taste test again. NaCler was actually the one that remembered last trip, so you might want to ask him tooMousekedude wrote:We want a good trip report with plenty of pics! Thanks! I got a new app for my iphone which might help me remember what all we do tooMouseoholic wrote:Amy we are going to miss you! At least we will get a good trip report to read before we leave. I just love your detailed reporting.![]()

Re: Amy and F1gment take on Thanksgiving 2011
I'm taking time to actually sit down and sort of rough out a daily parks schedule so I can call and get some tours scheduled. Hopefully it isn't too late
It is amazing the amount of places you can cull information and it just gets sort of jumbled up the more you look and plan. AHHHHHH! I wish I had a Len or a Mouseoholic that liked to do the planning
I certainly hope their families appreciate the amount of work and effort they put forth into pre-planning!

Oh, I do, believe me! You should see her "library" of source materials, and the trip planning notebooks she creates for each trip! Unbelievable!Amy wrote:...I wish I had a Len or a Mouseoholic that liked to do the planning![]()

If Len90 was't so busy with classes maybe he would considered being "rented" for a trip as the planner and tour guide.

Nah, I'm too cheap to actually pay someone to do itmindflipper wrote:If Len90 was't so busy with classes maybe he would considered being "rented" for a trip as the planner and tour guide.

One thing I've noticed as I've dealt with a few people on the phone for tours and reservations and the like. Do you suppose the CM get to choose their phone name. Today I dealt with PollyAnna, Merrilee, Kinata, and then Thor. The last one is the one that really got me thinking. Do people actually name their child Thor?

If Norwegian, mayble. I've seen all kinds of names in my line of work, Amy, so I could believe it...Amy wrote:Nah, I'm too cheap to actually pay someone to do itmindflipper wrote:If Len90 was't so busy with classes maybe he would considered being "rented" for a trip as the planner and tour guide. But I wouldn't mind if I had a family member that was traveling with me and they wanted to do it all

Re: Amy and F1gment take on Thanksgiving 2011
Yeah, I was thinking of those wacky Scandanavians and the name Thor, but it seems like whenever I call and talk to someone no one ever has a "normal" name like Bob, or Jane
Well, as I am on hold with the Disney Tour office, with a projected wait of over 30 minutes
I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to call a taxi. I am going to attempt the Steam Trains tour and will need to get to the MK well before the park opens and the bus is running. F1gment is not interested in this tour so I don't need to get an accessible taxi which takes one dilemma I was wondering about out of the equation. I know several of you have mentioned taxis in your trip reports. Who do you call, how much does it cost, how early do you need to arrange it, can you go through the hotel front desk (bearing in mind I am staying at a value resort) Any thoughts? Suggestions?

Amy, I am very confident that if you give the concierge at the All Stars (yes, there is one) enough notice before hand, they would definitely get a taxi arranged for you.
Also, good news... We are coming down Friday the 18th now, so we will be there another night. Also, I was looking at park schedules and there are several late nights in which I will probably need a touring partner. Interested?

Heck yeah! F1gment poops out pretty early some nights depending on how hard we've gone for the day. I've got a schedule sort of roughed out. I was thinking EPCOT on Fri. 11/18 (we've got a tour in the morning), Sat. 11/19 MK (I've got a tour in the morning), and Sun 11/20 HS/MK with the Osborne Lights and Fantasmic at HS ~ and then the MK is open until 3 amNaCler wrote:Amy, I am very confident that if you give the concierge at the All Stars (yes, there is one) enough notice before hand, they would definitely get a taxi arranged for you.

Amy, you are my long lost sister! We will probably do Epcot Friday as well, since we are staying at BC it will be the easiest after check in. She may bail around 10ish or so, so 12 sounds good to me. We will probably do MK and AK/Epcot Saturday. sunday will be whatever is left and DHS. MK until 3am is a must for me that night as well!

You never know. Some of us like to name things in weird ways. Back when I used to breed Chihuahuas, I liked giving the pups all kinds of strange names. In one litter I named them "Consternation", "Sacrament", "Riboflavin", "Reverse", and "Bob." Interestingly, I never had any trouble finding buyers. Once they heard all the crazy names, they were either so tickled that they couldn't resist buying one... or so horrified that they felt compelled to buy one just to get it away from me (the looks I got were priceless as they scurried out the gate clutching the poor unfortunate little beast...Amy wrote:...Today I dealt with PollyAnna, Merrilee, Kinata, and then Thor. (Footnote: you know, something tells me that y'all should quit worrying about Jacca and me getting together. Y'all should worry more about Wizz and me teaming up...

Riboflavin? Really?! Oh my...yes, I would worry about anyone teaming up with Wizz ~ he is quite a force all on his ownMousekedude wrote:You never know. Some of us like to name things in weird ways. We shall see cousininmiami ~ this will be at the start of the trip so it should be ok. I might not be able to to do the first late night on the Friday though. I have the Steam Train tour the next morning and I have to be climbing into a taxi a little after 6, so staying in the parks until 12 am might not work. Especially since I really want to stay until the 3 am close in the MK ~ that just sounds too awesome to pass up ~ plus I'll have someone to play with that late ~ that never happens...cousininmiami wrote:You guys are my heroes! You all sound like you're gonna have fun... Kungaloosh!!!
