What are restrictions/requirements for this deal? (Is there a certain minium number of nights that has to be booked, for instance?)
Book by 3/27/11. There is no information about a minimum say, but I would assume it is the usual promotion restrictions of 3-4 night stay. All moderates and the two deluxe resorts I listed would be 30% off. All other deluxe resorts are 35% off with villas being 40% off. The French quarter and values are 25% off and finally the all star movies is 20% off. This is a room only discount, so for somebody staying 10 days it will be a huge savings! If you are planning on returning to Disney within a year, I would advise purchasing an AP instead if the 10 day ticket. It works out about the same and is a huge savings if you return to the world in less than a year.

How awesome...going to WDW for the first time!!!

As others have said...you definitely want to go for the Park Hopper. The main reason is that you might want to spend a day in one park...but eat dinner or whatnot in another park. Having the hopper allows you to do this. Another thing it allows you to do is catch the fireworks or parades for one park while spending the earlier part of the day at another one. DW and I did this during our honeymoon...going to MK during the day but hopping over to Epcot for Illuminations later that night.

Are you all flying into Orlando? If so, make sure you use Disney's Magical Express to get from the airport to WDW. And if you do this, make sure you get all of your Magical Express vouchers and stuff sent to you in the mail before you leave for your trip. A good travel agent can help you out with all of that. I use http://www.mousefantravel.com and they are great and free. The reason you want all of that stuff before you get there is because you will see 50-100 people standing in line doing it there and you don't want to be in that long line. You will be standing in plenty of lines...don't start it at the airport if you can help it.

Another thing you will want to do is study the different restaurants around WDW...to kind of get an idea of what you might want to eat. Some of the higher demand places fill up fast, so you will want to get ADRs (Advanced Dining Reservations) once you get 90-180 days out from your trip. If I were you I would try to plan out which parks you want to go to each day for the first 4-5 days of your trip. This way you can familiarize yourselves with the parks early on which will make the second half of your trip much easier to navigate.

And lastly...try to take a day or so to check out the deluxe resorts like the Contemporary, Polynesian, and Grand Floridian. It doesn't cost you a dime and you get a chance to see some of the most beautiful resorts in America. All you have to do is get on the Resort Monorail at the TTC or Magic Kingdom and get off at each stop. If you can't stay at these nice places...at least you could all enjoy walking around then and soaking up the atmosphere. You can do the same thing with the Epcot Deluxe resorts if you leave Epcot through the International Gateway (between the UK and France). Just take a stroll over there.

Not sure if you have ever done this (I have spent hours doing it) but go download Google Earth and check out Disney World. You can zoom in all the way to a street level. Then you can just use the arrow keys to "walk" around the parks or the resorts. It can help you get your bearings before you actually get down there.

Ok...that's about all I have for now. I know you and your family will have a magical time...don't let anything stress you and remember it's vacation so have fun!
