I ended up keeping a pair of the nylon track pants in the bottom of my backpack. They were light and took up so little room, and there was more than one evening I was very happy to slide them on over my shorts!!mindflipper wrote:If you're packing shorts, maybe pack some trackies (track pants) as well. You can rent a locker at the park(s), store the track pants and maybe a jacket there during the day, and when sundown comes you can get them out to wear to keep you warm as the temperature drops.

When I went to WDW MK back on Dec. 4th, I brought a jacket but stored it in the locker. When it got dark, I was so relieved to have that jacket. Even though it was warm during the day, it definitely was cooler at night - and on some rides like BTMRR or Dumbo or TTA/Peoplemover - it feels even cooler than it does on the ground.

Aren't the lockers sort of pricey though? And can you get in and out of them all day or do you have to pay each time? I guess I would prefer to lug everything around and then I have it when I want it. With my luck, I would need my jacket or something else when I was precisely the furthest away from the locker I could bemindflipper wrote:When I went to WDW MK back on Dec. 4th, I brought a jacket but stored it in the locker. I think its like $5 or $6 to get the locker key. You can get in and out of them all day long as many times as you like. Furthermore, if you buy something and don't want to lug it around all day long with you in the park, you can put it into the locker and carry on lighter for it.Amy wrote:Aren't the lockers sort of pricey though? OH! I thought the lockers were way more expensive than that!mindflipper wrote:I think its like $5 or $6 to get the locker key. You can get in and out of them all day long as many times as you like. Sleepy90, another advantage to a locker is you can store umbrellas in them too. I know there's forecast in the next 10 days some rain, so on those days you can take umbrellas and store them in there. If you buy those cheap vinyl rain ponchos - you can also store them in the locker when you don't need them. Usually the place to purchase lockers are a gift shop just pass the ticker scanner turnstyles. At the MK, it's a gift shop to the far right after entering when you're facing the train station. Check the park maps. They usually give that info for each park.

We have used lockers in the past, now we usually carry backpacks with long trousers and jackets in them along with our rain poncho's and other things like first defense hand sanitizer to repel the bugs after you have been touching things like that honey wall, which I have to say we are looking forward to seeing I'm not sure we will be touching it though I read what it did to Boilerdude. That said we probably will get lockers and throw the clothing in there to cut down the weight we are carrying around all day.mindflipper wrote:Sleepy90, another advantage to a locker is you can store umbrellas in them too. In Michigan, we could see the grass yesterday morning, then it snowed, then it rained, then it sleeted, then it freezing rained, then it repeated the process several times. Now it is snowing...a lotNaCler wrote:Maryland checking in AGAIN... Almost 80 degrees here last Friday... 5-7inches of snow possible tonight... stupid groundhog... haha...

You had it pretty good to have almost 80 degrees last week, I think we topped out around the upper 50's is all

I'm ready for a vacation!
