Has anyone heard about room discounts for mid October???? We're thinking about going back for a long weekend.

Just the Free Dinning. Disney usually releases the Fall/Winter discounts in August, we are waiting for the December discounts.

Thanks, I guess I'll have to wait to check out the room rates.

I've heard that people are getting good rates on hotels.com recently. I don't know if they're for October.

We are also waiting for October room rates. We're passholders so since we'd have to buy tickets, free dining doesn't really work out for us.

We may stay off Disney in Oct as we can get rooms thru Comfort End with points as my husband travels a LOT!!!! The only cost would be my flight down as my husband will work his way down, and then of course the food!!! We got annual passes in June and we're hopefully going in Jan again. We're still working everything out and looking at all options. We've always stayed on property so this will be different for us to stay off. My son is a chef in Charlotte NC and I'm hoping we can get him down for the food and wine festival for a few days!! I think he'd love it.

That sounds really nice! Heck if you can get a room for points that's even better. :goofy:

We just priced a 7 day trip for Oct. 2011, the week of columbus day, and it was DOUBLE what we usually pay. What gives? Is it because it includes columbus day? We would like to travel in October, because November is too cool. Is there a better time in October?

Yikes! Are there special events happening during that week? I would adjust your timing by a day or two either way and see what pops up. I can't imagine Columbus day making it that expensive
